Word of the Day!

chau
ちゃう
Osaka Dialect
Tokyo equivalent: chigau(違う)/de wanai(でわない)/ja nai(じゃない)
Meaning: it isnt't, wrong, that isn't right
*note* chau and akan is not the same, even though chau can mean that isn't right.

ex.//
(shintaro):1+1=11な?
ichi purasu ichi wa juichi na?
(ichi purasu ichi wa juichi ne)
(yusuke):ちゃう!1+1=2.
chau! ichi purasu ichi wa nii
(chigau! ichi purasu ichi wa ni).

shintaro: 1 + 1 = 11 right?
yusuke: wrong! 1 + 1 = 2

**Note**the first sentence on the japanese examples, is in the osaka dialect. I just did it to give you a taste of what it is like. There are many differences from the tokyo dialect(the japanese ur supposed to be learning) and the osaka dialect. I wouldn't reccomend you learning it now, i guess only words would be okay.
