I heard this on TV a few days ago, then I checked it out online. It's about the CRTC adding $5-10/mo extra on your cable bill to keep the local TV companies operational. I strongly oppose it. We need to stop TV Tax! Here is a website on the TV Tax. http://www.stopthetvtax.ca/Please vote on the poll!

(I have no right to debate this since I'm American, but one thing I do think is that you should post the reason why you oppose it. ninja just my opinion though...)

Ya I'm totally against the TV tax, cause on tv the add I saw about it, says all the TV tax money isnt even staying in canada, its going to buy more shows in America. How does that benefit canada? Its a pointless tax! they make enough money through TV stations and the shows they have as it is! If they add in the TV tax, it will destroy the economy we have already! not like the economy we have is that great, but still! I dont want this TV Tax!

Ghostface Talon ...

I think you've got worse stuff to worry about destroying the economy. The last time I ran through an Atlantic Superstore in downtown Halifax, a gallon of milk was over $6.50. I was just at a wholesale club BJs (it's like Bulk Barn, Costco, whatnot) back here at home (in the U.S.), and a saw a gallon of skim milk at something like $1.65.
The period of four months I lived and Canada (and all my visits to Canada) was/were/are really expensive, when it's unnecessary. My boyfriend tells me that the majority of the products of Nova Scotia (dairy and seafood) get sent to Ontario, and then distributed out to the provinces, and much of it gets sent back to Nova Scotia for sale.
If you're worried about fees and misspending that will kill the economy, then don't send food products thousands of kilometers away, just to have them sent back a few days (or weeks) later, to be sold.~ I Love Kyle. ~
