XxX-GIR510-XxX 9.Now everybody's expectation of a vampire is to look like you stepped out of an Aberchrombie & Fitch catalog 10. SERIOUSLY, SPARKLING VAMPIRES?????? I despise that store so much. I'm willing to bet that at least half the Twifail fanbase shops there.

I borrowed the first book from my friend about a month before the movie came out. I liked it at first and I actually fan-girled over Edward and Bella for a few days. To a point where I had actually drawn them. (I still have the drawing hidden in my desk somewhere.)
Then I got to the part where Edward started sparkling. I thought it was stupid, but I brushed it off and forced myself to finish. When I did, I spent about a week thinking it was just ok.
Then, I started reading some of the Anti arguments and I found myself analyzing the book and agreeing. When the movie came out, part of me wanted to see it out of curiousity, but when I heard about the Twitards squealing whenever a male walked on screen, my intrest died. It was then that I officially became an Anti.

My ex had gotten me into reading it, I tried to forgive the bad points of the books and read on. The last one REALLY dissapointed me, then my ex ended up cheating on me. After a while, I got a new boyfriend, had re-read the series and realized that not only was it poorly written, it was sexist, promoted *****, went back on many of its own rules....god the list goes on...
EDIT: Damn I need to proof read...

What made me hate Twilight... hmm.. lets see:
- the fact that it has no mentionable plot whatsoever - the absolutely perfect, void and revolting characters (especially stupid Bella, who is suicidal) - knowing that many young girls read this crap and decide to leave their real boyfriends because they are not like Edward (it actually did happen to someone I know... unbelievable) - the way Meyer makes vampires look: sissy, brainless and sparkling fairies - the direct encouragement of anti-feminism and "attraction to young children" that horrible "book" shows - someone actually had the brilliant idea of comparing the Twitarded fanfiction with the Harry Potter books (his is just too much for me... >.<) - and last but definitely not least: the many people (unfortunately including some of my friends -.-) that keep on blabbing and swooning over the sparkly poor excuse for a vampire

Angeloney Shortly after reading Breaking Dawn, I started to think about the series I had just read. Then I realized it's complete and utter lack of coherence. Agreed. This is my reason for disliking it as well :]

twilight_is_for_idiots I started hated it because I read a bit of it, looked up the plotlines of the other books, and was disgusted by the extreme anti-feminist views it spouted and the fact that it was poorly written. Its widespread popularity and influence only increased my dislike for it . I did the exact same thing. I seriously don't understand how all these antis can even tolerate reading the whole series. I tried and I literally felt sick to my stomach.

I hate twilight for its corruption of the vampire image. Vampires are supposed to prefer the dark, and burn in the sun, NOT sparkle. I read the first few pages of the first book, and nearly threw up and the horrible writing. When the first one came out, I was the only reader in my class, but after twilight came out, ALL the girls couldn't stop reading it. And when the movie came out it got even crazier. They were going crazy for Edward Cullen and I just couldn't stand it. Just the previews turned me off. I have no idea what people see in those books.

Normally I don't particularly -hate- anything. Then Twilight came arround. I love Vampires. I love the allure of being a creature of the night, ever since I peeked at my mothers books from Vampires of the Masquerade when I was a small child I was hooked....I watched Blade, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Ive rolepayed ive done all sorts of a little bit everything for vampires. Vampires that sparkle and dont drink human blood. Just no. Everyone thinks their so awesome, but sparlkling Vampires Fail. Also, just to say...Edward looks like a phedo, acts like one, and Bella is an insult to women everywhere.

At first, it was only the fact that SMeyers made a complete fool of herself and decided to drag vampire folklore down when she went, making it completely useless to anyone who didn't realize that she made a complete fool of herself; this brings me to the next reason that I began hating twilight (Whilst volunteering in a high school library) I got the first and possibly the worst glimpse I will ever see of the twilight fanbase... other than the night the next movie comes out and I happen to be at the theater playing dance games that very night.

I have my reasons =) + It's all romance. No action + Bella is a mary-sue moron + Edward is an ancient, sissy pansy + There is hardly any plot + It's sexist + It's badly written. + It hurt Bella to think about Edward, yet she still took him back. Moron. Finally, + It seems more of one of Meyer's fantasies than a book
I got to reading New Moon, and I gave up. I just got detailed decriptions of the other two. I actually wished that Bella would have died and Edward did succeed in killing himself. It would've been a better book. :3 My friends are mad about Twilight. It bugs me. I'm not interested in bloodsucking disco-balls. whee

That being said, that one song by Lady Gaga where she says something about taking a ride on "your disco stick" could totally fit Bella and Edward... lol

The book gets REALLY boring at times. The sparkle thing... and the fangirls. God, they helped making me hate it SO much.
