Shusou watched closely as Shisu pulled back the ribbon. He was sure the blade of the wakizashi was heading towards him. But it was no matter. The straight forward tactic hadn't worked. He needed a more underhanded technique.
As he approached his teacher, Shusou began gathering chakra in his feet. Then, with a burst, he jumped up and over his teacher. At the moment his feet touched the grassy ground, the earth clone that was hiding beneath Shisu sprang up behind her. Having already made the hand seals before burrowing out, the clone placed both its hands on the ground.
"Doton: Kenkou Tenmaku," it yelled. All at once the ground around the clone and Shisu began to rise up in four vertical slabs and two diagonal slabs. It would create a tent made of earth that would hopefully seal Shisu in.
The earth clone began to lose substance. To ensure a mildly strengthened prison cost it all of its available chakra. But it would be worth it if Shusou could stop Shisu's movements for just a bit. The boy had already begun searching through his tool holsters the moment the earth clone appeared. Taking out eight kunai with low-level explosive tags, he readied himself. If he could cave in the health tent, it might be enough to claim victory.
{{No problem about the wait. I was having internet problems of my own, so I wouldn't have noticed. ^__^}}

Shisu nodded her head and smiled at the earth that was closing her in. Very creative, she though, Shusou realized that just attacking me head on wasn't enough and he needed to find a more flexible way to get around me.
"Very good job," Shisu called to the student as the earth got closer to sealing her off. Sadly, though, Shusou's attack wouldn't be enough. Shisu figured she wasn't actually supposed to use jutsu against her students, but Shusou was definitely proving to be a challenge. Kneeling down, Shisu pressed her palm to the earth and poured her chakra into it, using the Hidden Mole Jutsu just like Shusou's clone had. Burrowing through the earth, Shisu tucked her wakizashi back into her boots and pulled out a kunai. Time to surprise Shusou, she laughed in her head as she burrowed over to where she last knew Shusou to be standing.
I wonder if he has noticed my absense, she wondered. Well, I guess I'll just wait for him to finish his attack before I pop up on the surface.

The earth clone had dissolved back into it natural components before Shisu had burrowed underground and, as such, Shusou wasn't made aware of her vacancy as he threw the kunai onto the earth tent. He placed his hands together forming the tiger seal, muttering a quick 'katsu' to activate the tags. The resulting explosion was small, but it was strong enough to collapse the structure.
Shusou's smile broadened. He'd definitely done it. But he became anxious when his teacher didn't emerge from the rubble. He fought between throwing in another exploding kunai or making sure Shisu wasn't hurt.
His medical instincts prevailed. He ran toward the debris, ready to heal Shisu if she should need it. Ka, realizing his creators concern, ran toward him, in case he needed any of his medical tools, but he stopped as he approached the earth.
"She's not there," the dog creature said. His sensitive hearing wasn't picking up the sound of breathing, not even a heartbeat from that location. But he could definitely hear it somewhere. It was muffled, he couldn't pinpoint where it was, but Shisu was definitely alive and healthy.
Shusou was already searching the pile of rock when he heard Ka's remark. He knew better than to doubt Ka's bat ears. He was the one who granted him that specification. He tensed a bit, though relief flooded his veins. "Good. I didn't go overboard."
But that still left the fact that he didn't know where she was, though he was aware that she could've only gone underground. He had dropped his tanto on his way to the rubble, so he looked over at Ka, who produced another weapon, a stiletto, from the seals on his tongue. Shusou held it with his right hand in a saber grip. "Right then. Let's see where sensei pops up," he said, waiting for his teacher to make a move.

Feeling an explosion send vibrations through the earth, Shisu decided to make an appearance. Finally emerging from the ground about seven feet behind Shusou and the pile if dirt, Shisu stood up and brushed off her now dirty clothes.
"As I said before, very nice Shusou-san. I actually had to use jutsu," she said, smiling at the student. Shisu didn't fail to notice Ka's appearance at Shusou's side. As much as she knew she should have her mind in the battle, she knew there was no way she would harm the dogish creature if he entered the fight. Silently, Shisu started running through ways she could immobilize the summoning without causing any damage or pain at all. Of course, she knew that if Ka never entered the spar her preparations would be pointless.Still, better safe than sorry, Shisu thought. Breaking her stare from the summoning and focusing back on Shusou. Gripping her special kunai in her right hand she unlatched the hook at the end of the handle ready to launch the kunai's blade or to deflect an attack.
"Your move, Shusou-san," she said from her location seven feet away.

Shusou was a bit surprised. He thought she might use the same tactic he'd employed and ambush him. But this was definitely to his advantage. He needed to distract her. He looked at Ka and gave him a sly smile. "Mild," he was all he said.
The chimera complied. Ka began churning the chakra in his stomach, concentrating on the poisons that his body naturally produced. Then he quickly opened up his mouth, turning the chakra into a large gust of wind which blew the noxious smoke-like gas out.
'Fuuton: Fuujunna Kyoufuu,' Shusou thought appreciatively. 'My brother's wind-type chakra is certainly helpful. The wind won't hold her back for long, but the poison should at least make her nauseous.' Shusou began forming a new set of hand seals. Once the smoke cleared he'd attack with some earth spikes. Then he'd see where the battle took him from there.

Shisu stood waiting while Shusou and Ka seemed to have a short conversation. After they finished talking she watched Ka open his maw and smoke seemed to blow out of his mouth straight at Shisu. Even though she was pretty sure the gas wouldn't kill her, Shisu didn't want to take any chances so she pulled two of her tags that created a chakra cussion out of her bag and placed one on her nose and one over her mouth, creating a barrier to keep the smoke from getting into her system. Two can play at this game, she thought mischievously.
Taking her kunai she cut a slit in her shirt around the stomach area opening up a pocket and letting two of her knock-out gas bombs spill into her hand. Holding them in her fist she lobbed them side-armed at where Shusou and Ka were standing. If they stood there, she would break the chakra cushion seal around them shattering the glass and releasing the gas into the air. If they moved however, she would leave the seal intact and let them harmlessly hit the ground to be used at another time. Fortunately, her knock out gas was very humane and would cause no side effects except for knocking out whoever breathed it in for a minute or two.

The smoke had already begun to clear. The shadow of his teacher was beginning to become visible. Becoming impatient with his waiting he released his jutsu. Slamming his palms onto the ground he yelled, "Doton: Kyougeki Sakusen." His Pincer technique raised the earth on either side of Shisu, becoming sharp spikes that aimed at her body. He planned to stop the technique before it gave her any significant damage, but it would at least make it difficult for her to move.
Seeing victory only a few steps away, Shusou neglected to notice the bombs at his side. Even Ka's sensitive ears, still ringing from the wind of his jutsu, failed to hear the bombs touching ground.

Shisu smilled as the glass orbs full of knock-out gas landed at Ka and Shusou's feet and shattered, releasing the gas into the air around them. One breath of the invisible gas and they would be out cold. Her victory was short lived, though, as she glanced down and saw earth spikes flying towards her. Gosh darn it, she thought ducking. At the rate the spikes were traveling she was almost sure she wasn't going to clear the jutsu in time. Closing her eyes she felt something stab through her left shoulder and stop her descent.
After taking a deep breath to keep herself from going into shock she looked over at the damage. It was as she thought. The spike had impaled her shoulder. Heh, well that's just great, she thought sarcastically, trying to pull her arm off of the spike. The jutsu had distracted her and she wasn't sure what situation the student was in now. Did the gas knock them out, she wondered in the back of her head, pulling her arm free.

Ka heard it first. The sound of shattering glass resonated loudly in his buzzing ears. He pushed Shusou, who had heard the glass orbs breaking a quarter of a second later, onto his back and prepared to run but not before Shusou took a breath of the gas.
The wind from the chimera's Impure Gale had made the spreading of the gas easier. By the time Ka had made it outside the dense cloud, Shusou was already reeling. He was dizzy, but he hadn't inhaled enough of the gas to lose consciousness just yet. Getting off Ka he looked up at Shisu, who was trapped in his spikes.
Feeling himself slowly losing focus, Shusou made one last ditch attempt at dealing a winning blow. Placing his left hand on his right upper arm, he dissolved the chakra wires. Then, he concentrated his chakra into the blood at the entrance of the cut. He solidified the energy, turning it into small crystals which pulled his blood out in an array of red spikes. "Obieta Yamaarashi no Jutsu," he muttered.
The spikes erupted from his wound at his teacher, chakra crystals forming at an extremely fast rate. But his fogged brain hadn't thought things through. Shisu was too far, and he was suffering the effects of her knockout gas. His loss of focus was suddenly coupled by the speedy blood-loss, causing a series of imperfections in the newly forming crystals at the wound.
They began to dissolve, and with that his blood spikes lost their form, falling in a short red rain not even halfway towards Shisu's immobilized body. 'Crap,' was all he thought, as he slipped into a deep insentience. The blood-loss wasn't bad, but it was enough.
As Shusou fell, Ka quickly made his way toward Shisu. He summoned a tagged kunai and spit it at the base of the spikes. They detonated on contact, releasing the teacher from the jutsu's grip.
"Help him," Ka cried out. The chimera was sure beyond a doubt that his creator needed immediate medical attention. He didn't realize that the blood-loss was within tolerable limits. "Please," Ka added anxiously.

Shisu looked up from her shoulder. Giving up trying to escape. Realizing Shusou had inhaled the gas and continued to try to fight, Shisu frowned. He was pushing his limits. When Shusou started forming red crystalized spikes from his own blood Shisu strained to get her shoulder off the spike but wasn't finding it successful. She could only be thankful that her shoulder was numb and not in pain. When Shusou fell over unconscious Shisu became a little worried that she would be stuck on the spike until her student woke up, but was relieved when Ka ran over breaking the jutsu. Ripping the tags off her mouth and nose she took in a deep breath.
"Don't worry Ka. Haruko-sensei is a medical ninja so Shusou will be fine," she said, trying to calm the summoning down. Well, I guess this means the fight is over, Shisu said, walking over to where Shusou was laying. Kneeling down next to Shusou she assessed the blood loss. She wasn't a medic, but she didn't think the blood loss was anything to be frantic with worry about. It shouldn't be ignored, though. She went to pick Shusou up in the case that he had to be taken to the hospital but was reminded with a sharp pain that her shoulder couldn't support any weight.
"Hey, Haruko-sensei. I might need some assistance over here with this one," Shisu called, still making sure that Shusou was okay. Luckily, since Shusou was knocked out the blood flow slowed down so he wasn't losing blood all too fast now. Realizing her own shoulder was bleeding Shisu just grabbed another chakra tag and spread it over the wound closing it off to stop blood flow. A plus of the tags were that since they emitted chakra they were completely sterile. She had never used one for this purpose, but it seemed to work.

Haruko TsubameNameless Village | Medical Ninja | ChuuninFrom her spot a few ways across from the field, Haruko watched her students carefully as they began their teacher-student spar. Not letting anything slip pass her, Haruko studied both of their movements very carefully sometimes curious as to why they chose to do that move instead of something else but praising them after for their quick thinking. Noticing the battle becoming somewhat hazardous, Haruko inched forward slightly in worry. 'You have to trust them Haru. Jumping in coud save them from injuries but it'll hurt their pride...'
Seeing that enough was enough, Haruko ignored conduct and rushed forward. By the time she had reached the group, Shusou was already on the ground and Ka was hovering over his master with concern written all over his face. Dropping into a kneeing position by Shusou's unconcious body, Haruko quickly did an assessment of the situation and took note of them in her head. 'This doesn't look too good. With all this bloodloss, things just might get into a critical state...' "Rei, I need you to transform to your original size and transport the tree of us to the hospital. Ka, I know you're worried but I'll need you to go back into the scroll, Rei won't be able to carry the four of us. Even just the three of us will be a bit much but we'll manage. Time is of the essance right now, with all the bloodloss Shusou-san has suffered, it would be best if we get him a blood transfusion just to be safe."
Doing as he was instructed, Rei rapidly transformed in a cloud of smoke back into his larger form and waited for the three of them to get on. "Shisu-sama, please hurry. Your wound also needs to be treated, that tag won't do much to help but stop the bleeding." Carefully laying Shusou on Rei's back, Haruko hopped on soon after and quickly began to heal his open wounds. As she did that, she waited for Ka and Shisu to follow her directions.

Ka's anxiety had risen. This seemed to be more serious than he had originally thought. But there was no time for worried glances. He quickly complied with what Haruko requested.
He felt uncomfortable for a second, as he took his masters scroll and unraveled it. He wasn't a part of the seal, he couldn't pop in and out as he pleased. He was sure Shusou would be upset that there were strangers privy to the seal, but he hoped that Haruko and Shisu wouldn't notice the unconventional way in which he entered the scroll.
The chimera took the tip of his long tongue and scraped it against his razor-sharp teeth causing it to bleed. Then he ran the red substance over the seal and muttered 'enter'. With that he vanished in a puff of white smoke and the scroll closed up.

Shisu was about to decline Haruko's offer to ride on Rei's back, but thought better of it. Running to the hospital would only speed up her blood flow and increase blood loss. Hoisting herself onto Rei awkwardly, she sat down before looking over at Shusou. Watching Ka disappear into a puff of smoke and the summoning scroll close up, she reached over to where it was and picked it up gently before placing it in her lap.
"Thank you for the ride Rei-san," she said, patting the summoning softy.

Haruko TsubameNameless Village | Medical Ninja | ChuuninHearing Shisu thank him, Rei simply nodded his head before readying himself for take off. Haruko, having saw that everyone was finally ready to leave, Haruko gave Rei the okay and in one fluid motion, the group was lifted off the ground and flying towards the hospital.
