I know it wasn't the most popular Anime title in the States, but it is by far one of my favorite anime shows to date. It was realistic, sweet, intense, and depressing, all wrapped up into a cool art style.
They made a live-action of it, a series as well as a movie. I watched the series, and although it drastically smooshed the longer anime plot down a lot, it was really well done. It made me laugh a lot on top of the well done drama.
Watch both! You won't regret it! Anyone else see it?
