So, I got the new KH game Monday and I love it. I really love the arrangement of "Dearly Beloved" on the start screen. I wants it.
Mission Mode kinda annoys me because I have to play solo since I got no one to play with. The missions can be a pain in the butt by yourself. The controls really annoy me too. It hurts my left hand after playing awhile because it's awkward using the the control pad and pushing L to move the camera around. Oh well.
This game makes me want to replay all the KH games again.

It is a fun game. I don't really like the magic system though. I always loved using as much magic as possible and KH II struck the perfect balance with the recharge system. But now you only have a limited amount of uses per mission? Lamesauce.

I'm planning on skipping the handhelds overall and just wiki'ing what happens for the summaries. I'm just waiting for the full-blown version of KH3, cuz I mean...I don't like the interface, especially the PSP one that's coming out. it's card-based *shiver* like Chain of Memories. What a horror that was. =w=

I liked the card system in CoM. ;A;
I'm alright with the magic system, but I feel like I never have enough slots on my panel.

i preordered it, and picked it up the morning it came out so i could get my free poster and postcards X3 but i only managed to beat it last weekend or the weekend before. i've been chipping away at the challenges and mission mode since XP
i agree with the controls D: i found myself needing to take a break against some of the bosses because my left thumb would start to cramp up from pressing the d-pad too hard for too long.
the thing i find awkward about the magic is if you miss the one you want while scrolling through the menu (and they aren't in your quick menu), you have to cycle through to get to it again instead of just flicking back up. plus you get to choose which ones you want to use the most, and stockpile on those.
i actually think it's interesting that Squeenix keeps coming up with new ways to play the games with each one, and it's all about adapting to the different consoles. sure it's nice to have same old, same old with every game, but i've found that Kingdom Hearts is always trying new things in terms of gameplay. i can't wait for Birth by Sleep, and it's what's motivating me to get a PSP ^.^ (along with FF: Dissidia and Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? and a couple others)
what kind of gear panels and combinations did you guys end up using? my favourite is the Nimble Gear+ with an ability panel, power panel, and guard panel. i like my air combos heart and being well-rounded in regards to the balance of power/defence/magic/critical.

I'm not quite done with the game yet. I'm on day 73 or something like that. Currently, I favor Air Gear (I'm not sure if that's what it's called...) because it's has nice finishes.
Does the shop every get updated? I've been waiting for it to get new stuff in.

it updates every time you hit a new rank (like Rookie, or Agent), and i think that's after you've finished certain points in the story ^^U or you "gold" (100%) a certain number of missions. i know at the end of the game you get the Legend rank, but beyond that, i can't recall when you get the others sweatdrop it seems like forever sometimes, but you just have to deal.
i remember feeling really stupid XD i was going through Hi-Potions and Hi-Ethers like crazy, and i was starting to run out of Potions and Ethers to synthasize. then at some point i looked at the shop and i was like "......crap, i could have bought these!" XP i was already mostly through the game at that point though.
Air Gear (must not think of the anime) i think is the base gear for Nimble Gear.

 yuck, gross. i hated chain of memories...the whole card-based. But it was kinda addicting, idk. I've heard a lot of people complaining about the new game, but I think its one of those games where you will have to try and see how it is.
