here we are getting really bad flus. (i know i spelled that wrong i don't care haha). i was out with a 103 fever few weeks ago and pukin like crazy, yesterday it was really hot (98 degrees farenheit i live in florida) and people were dropping like crazy, few months ago one of our mellophone players was showing signs of the swine flu, and theres a kid in my 4th block that has viral meningitis.

At the last game and the last festival people were dropping like flies. It was hot and everyone was sick. Not a good mix>.>

the flu has kinda hit our schoo. but not that many people have gotten sick. in the band we pretty much all have gotten half sick like at the end of every runthough were all hacking and whatnot but its not like you other guys who have people dropping like flies.

The flu hit my old highschool and took out 3 of 5 of their bass drums, among other members.
They didn't go to the competition I was gunna watch them at.
Sad.

we had a bunch of upperclassmen falling ill like mid-tournament season, which is the absolute worst time to get sick. ><; they came to practice anyway, sniffling and all.
we also had one guy in our pit who had a REALLY bad flu. he was gone for a whole week and only came back for championships. luckily he's in shape for second semester drumline. >:]

Of course the flu hit my school. But we fought back valiantly, creating an epic scene of bandos versus the flu and then... we injured it in a way that it surrendered, and sent it away to out nemesis school... MEGA NERDE.

That's weird cause no one has been sick this flu season, But I've only gotten the flu once and I was a little kid when that happened.

A few weeks back 29% of our entire student body was absent.
We have a band of 18 and there were 5-9 out for two weeks. We were a mess.
