.::Bring home the Swan!::. @-Icarus #=Teh Swan Oh jeeze.. could he be any more emotional? He always ended up doing this, and he hated it. -Icarus quickly wiped his eyes with his right sleeve, jerking the kitten in his pocket awake. With a mew, it decided to dig it's claws into his side, as if saying "Hey! You woke me up!" Icarus jolted slightly, but tried not to do so in a manner that it disturbed the swan. Looking down he noticed the swan had moved slightly away from him, and just kinda stood there..moping. "Come now.." Icarus said softly. "Why are so down looking? Did I do something?"The swan stared at him blankly. "Why does this Icarus man keep thinking he did something? He hasn't done anything, not yet. I bet he will though..oh well.. I guess he's willing to take me in..for now.." He started off walking for the roof door to go down back though the petshop, and out. Nope..he didn't want to fly. Icarus quickly followed the swan through the roof door, holding the kitten in his pocket. After making it through the store, they were all on their way home..
After a long, silent, and quite depressing walk next to his swan, they finally arrived at his apartment. Jumbling his keys away from the monster kitten in his pocket, he was able to open the door. He smiled and looked down at the swan "Welcome home" he said quietly. The swan walked in and moved his head around as if to observe everything he could about the apartment.
Icarus wasn't supposed to have pets, but nobody needed to know about a small kitten and a quiet swan. This could work out well.
The Kitten decided it wanted to remove itself from Icarus' pocket, and make it's home on his couch as quickly as possible. Icarus chuckled, softly closing the door behind him. Looking down at the swan he said "I guess you don't have a name, do you? Would you like one?" The swan moved his head to look at Icarus. Why would it matter if he had a name? Icarus would probably forget it soon. I guess it doesn't matter though, nobody has ever bothered to give me a name, nobody ever cared, really.. He lifted his head to stare at Icarus in a manner that said "Sure, why the Hell not. Give me a name"By then, Icarus was already sitting on the floor infront of the swan, looking at him and pondering. "What about.. Theodore?"Theodore!? What the Hell was this guy thinking? He may take a lot from people, but a name like that is nothing he'd ever tolerate. He let out a soft hiss and shook his head back and fourth in a very quick manor to show he hated that name.Icarus jumped back. "Okay, sorry. I can see you don't like that." With a chuckle he started thinking again. "What about..Ozymandias? Do you like that?" Ozymandias.. sounded complicated.. but it would do for now. He moved his head in an up and down motion, like he had seen humans do in the past for "yes" Now that he had his name.. he really wanted to go to sleep..He walked away from the Icarus man, and decided to make himself comfortable by the computer desk in the corner. God the Icarus man was happy, and he couldn't even figure out why. Icarus smiled as Ozymandias decided to lay by the desk, when he remembered. He had no idea what swans ate, -and- he didn't have a litter box. He'd have to go to the store. He hated the store. Sitting down at his desk, he started to scribble down a list. It was getting late, he'd have to go tomorrow..

.::What do swans eat?::. ((The next day after the exciting trip to the Grocery store! Icarus has gathered a litter box, kitty food, and two pet beds~ biggrin )) Soft soothing lyrics of The Dreamside's music echoed softly throughout the house from the small speakers alongside Icarus' computer. His fingers were clicking slowly and softly along the keyboard as he seemed to be on Google. Icarus looked quite different today. Dressed in a green button up vest, a black shirt underneath with white ruffles peeking out from under his sleeves and at his neck. His pants and shoes were the strangest things though. His pants were tight, and green like his vest, but up his thighs rose tied up boots, with sort of a strange midevil look, much different then he was the other day. Ozymandias had claimed one of the soft strange little bed things Icarus had bought as his own, welcoming the kitten when it so decided it -must- sleep beside him. Otherwise, he didn't really want any company. He wondered why the Icarus man had not decided to wait for the store, so he could pick him up some food as well. He sure was hungry. What if Icarus wasn't going to feed him?! What if he was going to be neglected!? His thoughts were quickly broken with the sound of Icarus saying "Ah-ha!" quite loudly out of the middle of nowhere. He had found it! Just what he was looking for. The diet of a swan. He had never known they had eaten this kind of stuff before! "So.. Oz..you like algea? And sea worms.. some fish.. so..basically you like seafood!" Icarus shouted. Ozymandias had rolled his eyes to the best of a swans ability. Of course that's what he ate. He -was- a marine bird after all. Anyone should know that..right? Sitting plainly Icarus contemplated where he was going to buy algea and sea-worms. Leaves were easy enough to find, sea-weed could probably work, right? But..algea? Could someone even -buy- algea? Or was it something he'd have to grow himself? Icarus clutched his head in confusion. "Do you know where to buy algea?" He asked Oz dumbly. With a soft hiss his seemed to shake his head at Icarus. Though he didn't want to get up, he decided it would be easier if he just flew to the park lake and got some food himself, as he had always done. Slowly getting up, he trudged over to the window and lazilly pecked at it with his beak.Icarus walked over to the window and stared out it. "Is there something out there oz? Oh I get it, you want to go outside? Well.." Icarus' face seemed to hold a depressed look for a moment. What if Oz flew away and never came back? Well..he was a wild bird..so it's the right thing to do..right? After a few moments of staring out the window sadly, Icarus decided to open it. "Don't stay away too long..alright Oz? I guess I don't have to worry about your food.. I'm sure you can get it yourself..right?"Was this strange man actually sad he was going to fly away? Someone actually -cared- for -him-? That's poppycock.. who would ever care for a creature like him? Either way, he was going to come back, this apartment was quite comfortable. Well..it was for the most part.. Hopefully he wouldn't get lost, it was starting to get dark. With a flap of his mighty white wings, he lifted himself into the air towards the city park. On his way to find something to eat, and a lake to sit in..

.::That day after::. Loud violins and cellos rang through the air as the music of Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nacht Musik" played through Icarus' house. The darkness had come and gone, and Ozymandias had found his way home, though he didn't seem too cheerful when he arrived. Infact, Ozymandias never seemed to look cheerful. Icarus frowned at this thought. Currently typing up nonsense upon the computer, Icarus didn't seem too focused upon much else at the moment. His grey eyes scanned the screen quickly, infact it seemed as if he never blinked!Ozymandias was sitting alongside the computer desk once more, leaning his head up against it as he often did. Icarus seemed especially occupied this evening. He couldn't really remember any exciting events that day, except Icarus getting a giant basket full of flowers and fruit at the door. He had never gotten presents like that.. Icarus is so lucky. Bah, but he was a swan. Who would buy presents for a swan, honestly? Slowly Ozymandias stood and started off down the hall, he didn't even stop at the soft call of "Oz, where are you going?" Oz seemed to be Icarus' nickname for Ozymandias, he wasn't too fond of it, but oh well. What could he possibly do about it?
He was heading towards Icarus' bedroom, his favourite place. The room was so simply decorated, but held a nice feel to it. Waddling into the room, Ozymandias stopped infront of the floor length mirror beside the closet. He stared at himself, and just simply lent his head up against the mirror. He was tired. Slowly, but surely, Oz comfortably layed himself infront of the mirror. After eating some strange tasting random plants Icarus had gotten him, he was feeling quite happy for the moment, and that was quite unusual...

.::"The Pond"::. After waiting a while, Icarus had noticed that Ozymandias had not returned to the living room. It was quite unlike him to leave the computer desk for a long period of time. Finishing his last few sentances upon the keyboard, Icarus stood up. Patting the kitten; whom still had no name, he raised up his thin arms into a nice long stretch. Rubbing his fingers behind his neck, Icarus had slowly started to make his way down the hall.
The sounds of his orchestral music slowly faded within the sounds of honking cars and police sirens that often echoed throughout the streets. His head peeked into every room, scanning it slowly with his eyes, so as not to miss the glowing white feathers of Ozymandias. Of course, how hard was he to miss?
Finally, making it into the last room, Icarus walked into his bedroom. Turning his head to the side, he saw Ozymandias. His head was leant up against his floor length mirror, and he was sound asleep. The fading sunlight of the afternoon gleamed in through his window, shining down upon the feathers of Ozymandias, giving him the glow of an angel. Icarus smiled at this beautiful sight, and at the fact that he was chosen to take care of such a lovely bird. Though, as always, Ozymandias had the look of depression simply floating around him.
Letting his thin fingers slowly trace along the lines of his face, he started to wonder to himself. "If I were a swan, what would make me happy?" Then the simple idea had dawned upon him. Swans were always swimming in lakes or ponds, and since Ozymandias had been here, he's only swam probably once. The little guy probably missed the water. He felt so bad, as if he was failing at the one main task he had been given..If he had a normal house, he could buy a small pool for Ozymandias..but there's no room for one of those in his small apartment. He did...have a bathtub though..
Squealing softly with glee, Icarus ran to his bathroom, adjusting the faucets and letting the streams of luke-warm water spill onto the linolium floor of the tub. Remembering he still had some algea and plants for Oz, he ran into the kitchen to gather them up and sprinkle them softly into the bathtub. He was awoken suddenly by the sounds of heavilly running water.
..Water..
Ozymandias was awake suddenly. He flapped open his wings for a stretch, leaving a small white feather on the ground. He wondered if the running water was for him..probably not though. Icarus always ran late baths, or so he had been told, and the dusk was approaching. Flicking his tail feathers, he waddled slowly towards the bathroom, the usual place for running water. His head was tilted downwards, in the same manner as it always was when he walked. Not realizing how inconvenient it was, he ran straight into Icarus' leg."I've been waiting for you to wake up sleepy head!" Said Icarus loudly.
"Come on, follow me!" With a silly face full of glee, he skittered into the bathroom, waiting for Oz's expression on what he had done to his bathtub. The water had stopped running, and it was decorated with algea, lettuce, and small aquatic plants he had acquired from the local pond a few days earlier. Oz gave him a look of surprise, and approached the tub with caution. He stretched his long neck over the side and peered into it.
"Go on!" Said Icarus
"It's for you."Ozymandias couldn't believe his eyes. Though this small bathtub could never compare to the large ponds outside, this was certainly a nice thing of Icarus to do. Hopefully it wasn't poisened or something rediculous like that. Then, suddenly, he was picked up by the sides gently, and placed within the small tub. Icarus was smiling, as he often did, which was very odd. Considering when he first saw him, not a smile was to be found. Averting his thoughts to food, he dunked his head into the water swallowing down some of the food.

It was the same old day, in the same old home, with the same old Icarus and the same old swan. Ozmandias had been his typical quiet self, brooding still over the fact that there was another child in his house.
Abandoned.
He'd forever be abandoned. Oh, how terrible life was for the swan. Depression seemed to ravage the poor bird, his feathers leaving a trail of despair. Molting, itching, and feeling overall miserable, Icarus was lucky to have left for the afternoon.
Everything should have been the same. Look at how much time Icarus spent with the child. Look at how much time Ozmandias was neglected.
It was just the same old cycle over and over; the loop button was pressed and there was no getting out of it.
Who wanted a swan when one could have a child? Who wanted a swan like him.
Not Icarus. And surely not that stupid boy.
Depressed as ever, the Bird drifted into a fitful sleep until the Final Silence overcame the bird. Nobody would notice a swans corpse - except, of course, Icarus. For when he'd return, he'd find a dead bird in his kitchen, and a sullen boy sitting on the floor besides the body.
It would figure, little Ciyrul would be alone when he changed, when he moved onto his next stage of life. It would figure that no one would witness his death and rebirth, that no one would care enough to be around when he needed them the most.
Life never changed. The glass, for little Ciyrul (or Ozmandias - it didn't really matter what he was called, now, did it?) wasn't half empty or half full - the glass never liked him anyway.
((He's a depressed Birdie, but hopefully Icarus can cheer him up. n_n Congratulations!))

Ciyrul's Journal Icarus just bought me my very own notebook today. That'd be you Journal. Writing isn't as hard as I thought, I actually like it.
-Another- new boy has been brought into this household. This one isn't as bad, infact, I've gotten used to Trau too. I guess they're not that bad of...boys.
When Icarus first brought him home, I was kinda confused. He was extremely sweet and innocent, for a while. Now he's just devious, I swear he's up to something all the time. Nobody thinks it's true. He's really good at the piano though, the music is really calming sometimes.
We've also gotten a Cat, well actually, the new boy Seymour, brought him home. His name is Ansem. Freakiest cat I've ever seen...he'll probably eat me in my sleep.
I actually haven't been to depressed lately, though I doubt this happiness will last long. Icarus brought me some new clothes from a store called...Hot topic or something like that. They're almost all black, I think it fits me nicely. Matches my hair.
It's bedtime now, but I can't wait to write to you sooner journal!

.::It's Just a Dream::. Running...Running... why was he running?
Footsteps echoed through his head as he ran...faster...faster. His wings were weighing him down...where was he going? Why was the sky so dark?
He ran faster... he had to. People were screaming...why was there screaming, screaming isn't good.
Faster...Faster...
He couldn't turn his head, no matter how much he wanted to, he had to keep looking forward. There was someone ahead of him...Icarus...
He outstreched his hand to meet Icarus' ... would this end the screaming? Why is he pulling away? What's going on?
Brown eyes looked on as Icarus' skin started to burn away, blood dripping from his fingers...his limbs...his hair falling to the ground as his muscles drooped and fell off the bone...off the skelton that crumpled to the ground..
He couldn't scream...
Ciyrul awoke panting in his bed. Sweat laced his thin frame, his wings spread out around him, beading from the sweat on his back. He brought his hand to his head, shaking it slowly. The television was still on, the image of a mushroom cloud of smoke on the screen.
He wanted to cry...he wanted to cry so bad. What had that dream been about anyway?
He slowly moved himself out of bed, his bare feet hot against the cool carpet beneath him. Dawn was just approaching. He stood before his window, white feathered wings enveloping his chest. He could already feel his day would not be well...
