Lillith
As she drifted among the dark shadows, lillith found herself baffled by her environment.
It was as if suddenly everything had changed, yet nothing had changed. But what she knew for certain was that this was not the world that she had come from. Confused, she gave her surroundings a hesitant glance. Her body trembled, as her eyes darted nervously from side to side. Even the air felt different. Before, it had been as if there was a void. She was trapped in this void, never to be truly alive nor dead. It was a limited experience in where she was just a conscious entity- the essence of a soul with no body to go along with it.
But now, she no longer felt those limitations. It was as if her soul had been lifted up and brought into reality. The air was filled with the scent, and sounds of strange objects. As if there was something there that she couldn't see. As she reached out to touch her hand to the invisible wall of darkness, her eyes widened. What.. was this this she felt?
Gently touching her hands to her face, she discovered the feel of her face. Staring at her hands, she felt a ripple of disbelief spread through her. She felt.. alive. Not like her previous existence in where she was only an essence to observe the darkness surrounding her.. but as if she were something real. She was... human.
No, not quite human. She was something else.
