Can I be sneaky and ask your cards a question or two?
I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and ask a relationship question. But first how about this? :
"How do I know if writing is the right path for me?"
Can I be sneaky and ask your cards a question or two?
I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and ask a relationship question. But first how about this? :
"How do I know if writing is the right path for me?"
Your first card signifies you in this question: your card is the King of cups.
Cups already indicates emotion to me and the fact that it is the king of cups shows that these emotions reign in yourself. This can also show that your emotions create in you an immense creative streak which can lead to success.
The second card crosses the first and is the conflict or problem you with to sort out: your second card is the nine of shields. (you can also take this to mean pentacles)
Pentacles show the problem being related to money, since this is your problem card we will regard it in the negative light. An interpretation of the negative aspects I see in this card are, suppression. Your are suppressing something, and/or are being shunned and disregarded in your path (this must relate to money somehow, but ill get to that in the grand finale after we see the rest of the cards).
Your third card represents your higher thinking or drive (like a divine message): your third card is the nine of cups.
Again this deals with emotion. In my card a man lays on an alter in the middle of the woods with light streaming in and is titled "the healing of the maimed King" from this I gather that your higher self is bruised by the problems at hand and wishes you to look towards your own well being and satisfaction in your dreams.
Your fourth card represents your subconcious, what you are preoccupied with that is inflicting itself on your present and day to day life and mood: your card is the ace of cups (we are seeing a lot of emotion involved in your reading, take note of that).
This is another emotional card that indicates an abundance of a particular emotion, since this card is upright I would say that it is a positive emotion, it may even be a positive thought that keeps you going.
Your fifth card represents past events that are causing this 'problem' or question to be: your fifth card is the inverted five of swords.
With swords it is indicated a fight or conflict, and since this card is inverted I would say it may have had a negative outcome. My card is titled Gawain's Penance and this card has a lot to do with actions causing problems and a need to own up to them and take responsibility, on the flip side these actions for your instance mean that other have talked badly about you or tried to stop you in a maybe malicious manner from reaching your goal. (I will relate this to present issue later, need more cards).
Your sixth card is a representation of your relationship with other people: your card is the four of spears. (spears equivalent is wands).
Spears deal with the higher functioning mind and things associated with it, like relationships, businesses, views of self and others. This four of spears depicts a ball/party and two in the center dancing. The joviality of this card indicates you get on well with most people, your social life is healthy and you have a good foundation on which to grow.
The seventh card indicates your psychological state and attitude regarding the situation: your card is the three of swords.
This card in this position leads me to believe you are upset or grieving over a past instance regarding your question, this doubt caused maybe by the words of others?, is making it hard to move forward.
The eighth card represents your environment and/or forces at work behind the scenes you cant control: your card is Death.
This is the first with see major Arcana in your reading which indicates this is a major issue. Death usually means great changes, a loss or transformation. In your case I cant currently tell what this card truly means for you, I can guess that current events in your life are not as they usually are and this major change has caused you to feel a great loss (maybe of control?) and these instances are influencing whether you feel you are on the right track.
The ninth card is the representation of your hopes and fears: your card is the inverted priestess.
I see the priestess as a powerful, intuitive and fruitful woman. Inverted and in this position we can see that in your question you feel powerless and concerned that you do not have the skill or creativity to succeed.
The final card is your solution or outcome, this will tell us what steps you take for a desired outcome, or the final product of your hardwork: your card is the hierophant.
I dont see this card too often and so I am not very familiar with it, however it is major Arcana (and as you can see most of your final cards are, which mean you should focus on these the most). Dont see this as odd but I dont follow my tarot as traditionally as most, I interpret the pictures and they work quite well for me in that way. In saying this I want you to understand that my interpretation wont be anything near what you find if you go and look this up. My card shows a man with an instrument, he is playing this and many children are gathered at his feet to listen. From this I see you succeeding in your creative talents, if not in the way you think then at least to guide other minds in the same direction.
Finally: Your creativity is abundant and though you may have reservations as to how successful you might be at it, don't tally your success in the amount of money you can make. You have a wealth of joy around you and though in the past or even presently people are trying to deter you from this path you just have a feeling that you should protect yourself from these wounds and press on. This may seem easier to do for you because you surround yourself with supportive people. Since all of these explanations are minor arcana we can say they are also mostly minor aspects of the whole, we want to get to the meat of the reading. Right now you are feeling at a loss or at least slightly troubled by the thought that things wont work out. Listen to your higher self and heal these thoughts, you are just troubled at the changing world around you. If you allow yourself time to heal and strengthen your resolve these feelings of powerlessness should cease and you will find later on that you will feel successful no matter what your making, because you will be leading others with your words.
I hope this was on spot? Lemme know.
