Kor Vella
Formally a very secluded city, Kor Vella has seen the most intense fighting between the New Republic and the Imperials since the invasion of Corellia began. The Imperials have been relentless in assaulting Kor Vella, as ore from nearby mountains is key for building many New Republic capital ships. A halt in this supply could be damning to the New Republic, which is why they are equally focused in defending Kor Vella.
The city is split into four sections, North, South East and West, divided by huge chasms. With only a handful of bridges available to cross these, New Republic and Imperial troops have come to a deadlock in their conflict here, with each controlling half the city (North and East for New Republic, South and West for Imperials).
Fearing the other may destroy them, neither faction has been reckless in assaulting these bridges, and conflict has been reduced to long range combat across the chasms. However, reinforcements for one side could swing the battle in their favour.
