Berit wandered around, looking for her favorite minion Nikolai. She had a surprise for him that she knew he was going to like. To prove it, she patted her left back pocket and laughed. No where was he? They had to start work on their country, didn't they? She was even bundled up in a jacket to brave the cold of his mother's house.

Nikolai looked out the window and saw his friend Berit creeping around outside his house. He smiled, walking over to the door, opening it and staring at her. "Privyet, Berit!" he called to her, stepping outside and closing the door.
"You have a jacket this time! Very good, you will not freeze to death in the harsh conditions of my home." He said, smiling.

Berit stared up at Nikolai, snorting. "As if I would! I could live through anything." She boasted before saying, "I have a surprise for you."
Smiling, she put her hands behind her back and shuffled his present between the two of them. "Pick which hand!"

Nikolai smiled. "A surprise?" He was curious now, he stepped closer, and thought about which hand to pick.
"Право, Right." He said, nodding.

Berit frowned because he'd picked the right hand. Holding it forward, a slingshot in it's grasp. She'd got her father to make him one the other day and had wanted to tease him with it, but it looked like she wasn't going to be able to. "Here!" She shoved it at him.

Nikolai grinned, grabbing the slingshot greedily. "Спасибо, девочка." He said, tracing the form of the toy. "So now we both have weapons for our militia." he added.
"So anyway, dyevochka, where would you like to start on our country?" he asked Berit, putting the slingshot in his coat pocket.

Berit grumbled at his Russian. "Was habe ich Ihnen über sprechendes Russisch erzählt?" She muttered angrily before shrugging. "I don't care."

Nikolai grinned at her displeasure. "I will not discontinue to use my native language, dyevochka. " He pulled on his scarf, tightening it around his neck, and thought a moment. "We should work on our house first, yes? We do not want to be a homeless country." He said smirking.

Relaxing, Berit nodded her head at Nik's relenting. "I think we need some adults though. If we don't get help then we won't have any way of making a house that will last. Clubhouses are fun and all, but if we're serious about this then we'll need the proper 'quipment." She said before she started making a list of things they had to accomplish to make a lasting country.

"Mama could help, I think." Nik said, tugging on his scarf as he spoke. "And your Daddy. I however, can't think of any other adults who could be of willing to help." He peered over her shoulder to look at her list. "What is that?"

A few weeks after the last planning, the capital building was built and the flag was planned. So much had happened since they had last spoke about creating their country that it seemed hard for Berit to keep track of what she thought. She was going to be the leader of the greatest country of all time and she had to make sure that it was kept in line.
Walking about the capital, she again wondered what Nikolai was up to. Blushing, she remembered what he had told her two days previously and what she had admitted herself.

Nikolai put down his bottle of vodka, sighing. Now was not a time to drink alone, since it was a happy time for him. He finally confessed his feelings, and had them be returned. That was something to drink with other people for.
He stood up and started to go outside, looking for Berit. He hadn't really talked to her since, and was concerned. When he saw her walking outside the capital, he walked over to her.
"Hello, Ritchka!" he called, smiling.
