Let me tell you a tale... perhaps you've heard it, but likely not... This is a tale, you see, of two people, brought together by cruel and unerring fate... Two people you would never imagine standing side by side, and yet, they do. One, a cynic, an analytical and calculating soul, always trying to see the dark side to any ray of light. The other, a child, a creation of artificial means and unnatural processes, naive to the world's working and innocent as the water of a spring.

Listen, for in the tale of these two, you may learn something about yourself, too.

The Cynic: Walnut Doern
General Information

Name: Walnut Doern
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Race: Pokemorph
Morph: Plusle
Loyal to: Self
Appearence: Were it not for the yellow plusses on his red electric sacs that marked his cheeks, he could easily be mistaken for a Pikachu-morph. His tail bears very little of the plus-shaped growth that normal Plusle tails exhibited, but small red bumps are visible, helping to distinguish him from a common Pikachu-morph.
History: Considered a "failed project" when he acted dead one day to try and escape from the Rocket Base on Pokemorph Island, Walnut was disposed of along with a large number of pokemorph corpses in a small lake. Managing to swim up after the Rockets had fled, Walnut now wanders the forests of Pokemorph Island, surviving on what he can, usually berries and rainwater. Nightly, he can be heard singing, his hauntingly deep voice echoing around the island. Many of the Rockets in the base have heard this singing, and chalked it up to nothing more than a playful Misdreavous.
Other: Due to the fact that he was a Rocket-made morph, Walnut has a fairly decent control over his powers, but when frightened or angry, he can randomly shock people or himself without his knowledge. He also travels, searching for his brother who was also brought in for experimentation.

The Cynic: Walnut Doern
Dreams, Fears, and Loves

Dreams: Above all, Walnut dreams of finding his lost brother, who was captured on the same night as he. Past that, Walnut dreams of finding acceptance within the world - despised by most normal people and hunted by the Rockets, Walnut feels alone in a world that would rather him be dead than alive. He would, also, like to find a place to sing frequently, for one of his most enjoyed activities is to sing. His song has made him infamous to the Rockets that had created him - most of the Grunts enjoyed the break in the monotony of the lab, but one certain Agent Lindsay despised it, torturing him every time he dared.

Fears: Walnut fears lightning pretty heavily - not Lightning, as in the attack, but as in lightning from nature. Bizzare, for an electric-type morph, but due to both his living outside without shelter plus his past as a human, it's an irrational fear that he can't overcome. Also, even though he'd never admit it, he is deathly fearful of the Rocket Agent, Lindsay, as are most that grew up in the lab. Most recently, he has developed a fear of seeing any ill befall the young freeborn, Ocean, who he holds in a high degree of respect and adoration, bordering on love.

Loves: Above all, Walnut loves a good alfredo pasta, even though the availability of such in his present situation leaves a great deal to be desired. He is also developing a love of the freeborn morph, Ocean, though he isn't aware of how young she is. He loves to sing, his rich voice a common feature of the forest nights. And finally, he loves reading. Before his capture from his old home, Walnut had a wonderfully large library, books that were burned in the Team Rocket raid on his small city where he lived.

The Cynic: Walnut Doern
Past

Before his transformation nearly 18 months ago, Walnut worked as a computer technician in a successful computer shop in Celadon City. Specializing in Porygon behaviour reprogramming, Walnut was quite wealthy, and eventually decided to retire to a small town outside of Celadon. This town was raided in a coup by Team Rocket, and Walnut and his brother, Rynn, were captured, taken to the Pokemorph Island transformation island. There, he was spliced with a Plusle, his brother spliced with an unknown pokemon. Defiant and adamant, Walnut did everything possible while incarcerated to fight the Rockets from the inside until the day that he feigned his death, when he was thrown out with the daily refuse. Escaping from the wasted lake where the Rockets dumped their trash, he wandered the forest, using his singing to deter people from looking for him by acting like a Misdreavous.

The Cynic: Walnut Doern
Random Facts

*Walnut was once offered a position in a reputable choral company in Celadon City, but declined the offer, finding more enjoyment in his computer work. He regrets this to this day.
*Walnut has an absolute fanatical love of macaroni and cheese. Much to the dismay of his brother, the good majority of the food in the Doern household was various pastas and cheeses.
*Walnut was banned from the Celadon Casino for using mathematical properties, an electro-spectrometer, and a bit of timing to hit nine seperate slot machines for jackpots, back to back to back.
*Walnut, before he settled in Celadon, was originally a Pokemon trainer, but after finding himself unable to catch anything but the young Plusle that decided to just follow him one day, he retired, leaving the Plusle in the care of the resident Sylph Company laboratory.
*Walnut's favorite color is orange.
*Walnut's favorite season is spring - the wind, he says, carries his songs well.
*Walnut's favorite pasttime is reading, and while doing so, singing the words from the books out loud. This annoys his neighbors, to a degree, but young kids in his town would sit on his porch just to listen to their favorite books sung by Walnut.
*Walnut's birthday is March 11th.

The Child: Zero
General

Name: Zero
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Race: Pokemorph
Morph: Porygon
Loyal to: Originally Rockets, now Morphs
Appearence: Zero's appearance is almost that of a human. Almost, in the sense that everything about Zero is blocky. Polygonal. Almost as if made up of building blocks, Zero stands out in a crowd both for his odd body appearance AND the fact that he is half pink (the left half of his body) and half blue (the right half of his body).
History: Developed by the Rockets to be used as a weapon to assist their crime in cyberspace where a normal Porygon would not suffice, Zero is a very "young" and naive Morph. Bred and raised by the Rockets to be their weapon of choice for digital crime, Zero only knows the life of the Rockets, and answers his masters willingly. Though he works for the Rockets, he does not know what he does is wrong, and is very friendly and kind to anyone that crosses his path, be they Rocket, morph, human, or whatever.
Other: Due to his Porygon infleuence, Zero can transmit himself into the digital world of a PC, and can travel between computers or other internet-accessing equipment this way. This was one of the Rocket's major reasons for developing Zero: Someone that could infiltrate a high-security fortress by using the security as a conduit to get in.

The Child: Zero
Dreams, Fears, and Loves

Dreams: Due to his contacts to the morphs in the village, Zero now desires to find out more about his own creation, as well as to find out if, possibly, the Rockets possess a way to make his friends normal again. He also desires deeply to hone his abilities, and prove to everyone that he isn't useless and that he can accomplish something important outside of the digital world. Lastly, he desires to settle down, and possibly have a place of his own, to show his ability to stand on his own two feet.

Fears: Zero, above all, fears being enclosed. Entrapped. He's very sensitive to being held in tight spaces, and gets claustrophobic easily. He also fears people that he hasn't researched before - being a denisen of the digital universe, Zero has a lot of theoretical, book knowledge, so anything he's seen before he doesn't fear, but if he's never seen something, he's wary and paranoid of it. Lastly, because of the distasteful and mean attitude of Giovanni's Persian, Zero has an irrational fear of cats.

Loves: Zero absolutely adores being able to reside inside a computer and surf the Internet at his leisure, due to his digital makeup. He also enjoys reading, although his access to books was severely limited in the Rocket facilities. He enjoys being trusted, and a vote of confidence in his abilities will brighten his attitude for days.
