Hey, guys! ^_^
I already know a WHOLE lot of stuff about one of everyone's favorite guitarists, of course, but I'm doing a paper on him for one of my classes and was wondering if anyone had any interesting tidbits of information about him they would mind sharing with me.
And before you even say it, YES, I do realize how amazingly lucky I am to get to spend hours in class researching Brian without having anyone spazz out and tell me to get back to work. ♥

Let's see...technically, it's more of a profile/article on him. Any random bit of background information, awards, good deeds he might have done, some appropriate quotes (assuming there IS such a thing with him, I'm already having to censor most of what I've found that I think would work! xp), and...well, I think it would be cool to get some fan quotes on him, too, you know? To help show that a lot of people have a great amount of respect for him and what he does. =)
Mostly, I've used wikipedia and All Excess, plus what I already know, but I figured that if I had access to a collection of Synyster Gates fans, why not take advantage of it?! 8D

Here is an interesting thing not many people know. Did you know that our beloved Syn Gates did some of the guitar stuff of Jeff Dunhams Christmas CD? Thats right ladies and Gents. Not all the credit goes to Papa Gates. And Jimmy helped too.

It's like tryin' to turn around on a one-way street..He's won quite a few awards hasn't he?
I'm sure he won Guitarist of the year at Kerrang! or something one year. ..I can't give you what you want an' it's killin' me

Ooh, that IS pretty cool! =)
Was that for this current year, do you know? I know he won Guitarist of the Year from some other magazine back in 2006, the same year that he won Young Shredder of the Year from yet another magazine...and now he's been ranked by Guitar World as one of the top fifty fastest guitar players of all time.
