He accept the soda and stuck his tongue at her before taking a long sip and then handing it back to her. "I wouldn't say chivalry is dead completely." Shou leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head. "And of course I would ask before taking any books from Starr-san. Even if she doesn't need them, she'd be upset to know any one of her books went missing without here knowledge. She would gladly lent a fellow poetry lover a book... do not worry about it. When I see her next, I'll ask." He paused for a moment and tried to recall all the words to one of his favorite poems in its entirety. He did become a bit distracted with his mate cuddled against him and looping her arm through his. Smiling, as he recalled a bit of it, he leaned down and brushed his nose against hers and smiled. "She walks in beauty, like the night, Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright meet in her aspect and her eyes."

"Well then, as long as it is alive with you then maybe I can change my opion on that" she said smiling up at him "and thank you, Lenore has promised forever and a day togetmore poetry books but she just hasn't gotten around to doing it yet" she said as she opened the basket and placed the bottle back into it. Tempest looked out the front of her again so she wouldn't trip or anything and smiledsoft as he recited byron "someones memorised Lord Byron, one of my favorites as well, published in 1815 if memory serves me correctly" she said, remembering reading that somewhere one, came acrossit by accident really but still.

"If Starr-san won't allow me to lend her books to anyone, I would gladly you buy for you what you want. I can make money in sword duels." Shou patted his nameless sword at his side and smirked. He laughed when she guessed the author of the poem he had recited and patted her head in a joking manner. "Ping-pong! That's correct; you won the grand prize. That's the extent of the poetry I can recite. It's the only line I know from the poem but I used to read it so much as kid." He looked at her, admiring her beauty and her markings. "It's fitting."

Tempest giggled as he called her 'ping-pong' "Well, it seems I may have to give you another few to memorise, or at least let you pick out of my favorite poets, maybe even go so far as giving you a crash course in my likes and dislikes on a whole, now THAT would be fun." Tempest said as she blushed a little "I don't know if I would go that far..." she said, never really picturing herself as beautiful, it is true she didn't picture herself as ugly but still, beautiful never was a word she really associated with herself "but then, who am I to argue with a guy who has a sword?" She teased playfully "it may be in my best intrest to just agree with you in this case" she said as she smiling up at him.

"Of course I need a crash course on your likes and dislikes. One should know how to please his mate in all things." Shou winked at her as she smiled up at him. This was certainly turning out to be a fun day and he was enjoying himself with her but she was right. Aside from sweets and a few other things, he didn't particularly know that much about her. Perhaps today was the day that all of that would change. "I'm sure I could manage to memorize a poem or two for you. It's not that hard. However, I won't do it if there's a chance I'll get caught doing it.... Pacifica and Rhiannon would never let me hear the end of it." He groaned and pictured the two females teasing him and trying to tie ribbons in his hair like they used to do. Ugh, women! He smiled at Tempest. She was certainly different from those two-uh oh.... "Oh yeah.... heh... I guess you haven't met them have you?"
