ok i had my first experience saturday at an officer retreat and i got one thing to say...ITS OCTOBER IN FLORIDA....WHY THE HELL IS IT FREAKIN 40 degrees?! so anyway, all the officers from other bands did pretty much anything to keep warm (even us in our wool black uniforms). We did the running man, macarena, jump on it, the wave, cupid shuffle, and the soulja boy before the awards started. (we made it to state btw hehe i'm so happy) anyway, while they were giving awards to 1a-3a (we're a 3a band) crystal river was crackin me up. they were shivering in sync then went back to set, and they were huddled up most of the time. then, later, middleburg (a 5a band) found a blanket and sat down crisscross and covered themselves up and you couldn't see them anymore. that was funny. then, they started giving awards to 4 and 5a and i guess cuz our band had the most officers on the field, all the 1-3a bands started dogpiling us to keep warm!!!! omg it was funny!! oh and i was forced to take off my jacket to the freezing cold color guard so i was pissed lol.

so...just curious...what are ur officer retreats like? ours is just pretty much about having fun and keeping other bands warm. XD i'm still going to school today, but i am sick as a freakin dog lol.

dude your complaining about that? Im from jersey and we'd kill to have a retreat that warm! also we cant move when were out, unless were saluting. so anything that happens like itches, cold, or pain you just deal. id love to be in ur band!
