[Colin Hayes]
Colin shrugged at Yules question. "I dunno..dunno much about jugglin' or such, sorrey." He shrugged again, this time apologetically. Such things had never really interested the musically inclined Colin.
"If yeh mean Glastonbury, England, then yeh." His eyes narrowed slightly at Samyules next question, for he seemed to be spinning through the conversation as if he didn't want to stay on one topic too long. Apparently, the boy didn't live a sedentary lifestyle. "Nuthin special, really. Some...'magical manipyalation' stuff.." He felt a bit ridiculous saying it.
"Height'nd senses fer some stuff...flyin-or hoverin, atleast." Which was true. Lately, he'd found himself hovering a few feet off the ground at the oddest time, and when he added his will to it, could float slowly over to different places. The more he practiced, the fast he got, and Colin could only assume that it would end up as flying without the wings.

Samyule furrowed his brow when Len mentioned that his powers included empathy. He wondered exactly how deep his powers went and if they were voluntary or involuntary. Predator might turn into prey if this kid could read too much into his emotions. If he knew all of the times he hesitated, all of the times he felt sure of himself, Samyule knew that every one of his weaknesses would be exposed, and possibly exploited. But there was the circus mask again, ready to slip onto his features. This time, though, he buried his emotions deeper out of care that perhaps Len would discover them.
Colin, however, was different. Not so much a threat if all he could do was much of what Samyule could do himself. Flying, and what he called "magical manipulation." That wanted further explaining, but would probably need to wait until later, until he didn't have to guard himself so closely.
So he smiled a court smile. "Yeah, I'm more like Colin, I guess. Just got those crazy reflexes, you know? I like climbing walls and stuff, jumping off things, whatever to get the rush in my veins."
When the wind shifted, those extended reflexes and senses carried the scent of the dining hall's lunch fare down the grove to him. It was only then that he realized how hungry he was. "Ah, well...I'll leave you guys to finish the chat I interrupted then." Not as though there was a chat to begin with... he added deeply in his mind. He was certain some of his skepticism reached his surface emotions, but he pushed it away before Len could be unsettled by it. No wonder the kid seemed nervous if he could "read" what everyone else was feeling about him. "See you around classes or whatever."
He waved a friendly goodbye and stuck his hands in his pockets, quickly setting off on a direct path to the dining hall. He didn't want to miss lunch again. He needed the energy if he had to continue training the way he usually did.

Len watched as he walked off- for those several moments, he had drawn a almost complete blank. Emotions he did find were too feint to read, and so, Len resorted to what was read clearly on Samyule's face, which in turn, revealed nothing. Samyule was definately a person to keep his eyes on. He turned his head towards Colin.
"...I'm sorry, you seemed to be a little ticked at me a while ago. I wanted to ask what was wrong,"
He inquired about this curiously- it was a subject long lost, but certainly not forgotten.

[Colin Hayes]
Colin turned his eyes towards the boy-Len- wary now that he knew he was an empath. Colin was usually quite adept at hiding behind a fake smile, but with someone that posessed such abilities as to see through it, he was left at a disadvantage.
'I suppose tha best course o action would be to appear 'appy..' He thought for a moment, before conjuring up an image of his family, which spread a warm and comforting feeling through him. Hopefully, this Len would pick up on that and not have any reason to pester him.
" Nuthin. I jus'...wasn' expectin' tah find anyone out 'ere this time 'o tha day.." Colin trailed off, hoping that was a reasonable explanation and that Len couldn't sense his speculativeness. This made sense, for alot of kids were in class or in their rooms at this time, not outside.

He blinked, sensing yet another awkward feeling- speculativeness, or whatever it was. It wasn't that Colin hated him all that much now, he just didn't enjoy his personal space violated. He obviously doesn't want to talk about his feelings, otherwise he would have gone off about it.. he thought. That acknowledged, he decided it was best not to tell him that his power never failed him- save with Samyule, but then, he was a great actor at that sort of thing. He decided to pursue a different topic instead... But... He looked for something, anything, when he spotted Colin's iPod. Len knew some music- under the context of Barbershop Singing, of course- so maybe they might have had something in common.
"So, Colin," he tried his best not to sound forced, "What kind of music do you like?"
He found himself slowly regretting it, though. What if Colin talked about something he had absolutely no clue about? He was from Britain, and other than the music he knew, he had absolutely no clue about other songs.
...Just what kind of mess did I force myself into?... He thought bitterly to himself.

[Colin Hayes]
Colin looked down at his iPhone for a second before looking back up at Len. He seemed to warm up a bit, and that feeling was palpable. Music was something he could really sink his teeth into. "Lotsa stuff really..I was jus' las' listnin to 30 Seconds to Mars..an American band, I thin'." He looked down and began to scroll through his music, and there was alot of it.
"Paramore, Pillar, All Time Low, The Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay.." He looked up an unexpectedly chuckled; he had a feeling that Len had little clue as to what those bands were. " You?" Len didn't seem like the type to know a lot of different bands, but nearly everyone loved some sort of music.

Len was right- he really had no idea what Colin was talking about. But, may it would work the other way around...? He doubted it, but still. But, then, he sensed enjoyment from Colin- that chuckle proved to him that Colin really was enjoying himself. Maybe he should too...?
"I listen to.." He paused, and added, "..and sing songs from Ambassadors of Harmony, USNA Cleanshave, the Vocal Majority."
He found himself smiling a sad smile- he may have looked like an old man remember things from the past, and he was quick to push aside because those were simply thoughts he wanted to avoid. They were painful to remember, and he could never forget- so just dismissing them all together was the best choice for him. The wind seemed to slow down- it felt like it had done a minute's waltz just now. But then, so did his emotions.
Len's legs had fallen asleep- much to he annoyance. He stood up, and acted as calmly as possible, even though it felt like ants were crawling up his leg.
"I guess... I'll see you later..." Len didn't wait for an answer- he wbegan to walk away, turning his head once before walking off again.
