I'm looking for more bands along the lines of Modest Mouse. I never paid them much thought, and I just recently started listening to a bit more of their stuff, and I like it. You guys know any similar bands?

They have a pretty unique sound. The best I could do would be to just flat out recommend other good bands.
Try:
Smog, Woods, Menomena, Neutral Milk Hotel (who HASN't heard them, though?)
They're all sorta in the same-ish range of music, but just barely.

Captain Frith The Fratellis ...You Will Know Us By the Trail Of the Dead Bright Eyes I'm a fan of Fratellis, actually. I know Trail of Dead, but I never got around to listening to much of them, and I still need to check out Bright Eyes. Thank you guys, if you can, keep the recs coming.

Well so far, I liked Smog, Menomena, and Trail of Dead. On the website I'm looking for these on, I couldn't find any Woods.
EDIT: Also digging Ugly Casanova too.

Yeah, Woods will be hard to find. PM me your AIM and I'll send you their album.
And just so you know, Ugly Casanova is an Isaac Brock side project, so that's probably as similar as you'll get to Modest Mouse.
