Ohatsu pawed at the walls of the hole and whimpered. She had seemed to have lost her voice in her fear. She stopped pawing and looked behind her. The hole went a lot deeper than just the tree roots. She started to pad through them. If she was any bigger she would have to crawl. But she would was still just a kit. So she kept walking.

"Ohatsu! Ohatsu! Both the brother called out for their lost sister. Fireheart looked at the ground as they walked,"This is all my fault..." he said with a frown on his muzzle." Don't worry, we'll find her." Naxos told his brother as they headed through the woods.

Ohatsu kept walking through the tunnels, far from her brothers sight. She walked a little farther and felt the ground under her give way. She screamed. Falling for a long time she finally hit the ground. She felt into a deep unconsciousness.

Naxos stopped,"Did you hear that? He said to Fireheart. Fireheart listened, but shook his head. "I thought I heard someone scream." He told him then began to trot faster in the forest. "Naxos! I found something!" He told his brother as he stopped at the tree with the hole. " Maybe she's down here." He told him. Naxos nodded and crawled down the hole along with Fireheart.

Ohatsu was still sadly deeply out of it. She didn't hear her brothers coming after her.

Naxos and Fireheart searched high and low in the tree hole. Fireheart caught sight of their sister. " Ohatsu!" He paniced as Naxos looked over to see that she was knocked out. He crawled to be able to reach her closely. Naxos grabbed hold of her by the extra skin on the back of her neck. Slowly both Naxos and Fireheart were able to get her out of the hole. " Sister! Wake up!" Naxos said as he nudged her with his muzzle. They were both worry that she wouldn't wake.

Ohatsu moved a little bit and groaned in pain. She opened her bright yellow eyes and almost smiled gratefully at her brothers. "Naxos...? Fireheart...? You can after me...?"

" O-of course we did. You're our sister. Family looks out for each other." Fireheart said after he licked Ohatsu on the head. He was glad to see his sister alright. Naxos smiled," All three of us should head back before mom and dad find out. We'll help you walk home, Ohatsu." He said as he looked at her lovingly. The three children began to head back to the den. Naxos hoped that mother and Father would understand what happened. As soon as they returned home they found their parents sleeping. The children all curled around next to their mother for they had a hard day.
