In my English class, I had to make a Ballad. The only requirements were that it had to have some rhyming, and it had to have a refrain. And I am only posting this out of boredom.... and what kind of comments I can get.... here it is, I did it in like 5 minutes... xD


The Pizza

On one fateful night, I was extremely hungry.
My stomach was hoping for something pleasant.
Yet, I could not eat until a certain time,
For I worked like a simple peasant.
The perfect food was in front of me, yet I could not eat it.

Suddenly, I smelt something scrumptious
Coming from the work space in front of me.
It made my thoughts begin to wander
Even though I knew nothing could be.
The perfect food was in front of me, yet I could not eat it.

I revealed this perfect specimen, with a ton of desire.
This perfect piece of art just stood in front of me
And I just could not lift it any higher.
I just stared at it in complete awe.
The perfect food was in front of me, yet I could not eat it.

The meat was perfectly made.
The cheese was hot and had a nice flow.
The spices made an enticing smell.
And there was no way anybody could complain about the dough.
The perfect food was in front of me, yet I could not eat it.

As a tear flashed before my eyes, I picked up a box.
I put this perfect specimen inside it,
Wishing that I could have just put on locks
For I didn’t want anybody else to have it.
The perfect food was in front of me, yet I could not eat it.

Then a man came by, and put it in a bag.
He left without saying a word, or letting me say goodbye.
I stared as his car left the building
And I went back to my work space with a huge sigh.
The perfect food was in front of me, yet I could not eat it.

I repeated the process for the rest of the night.
My tears had almost run dry.
Finally, I managed to get away from this workspace,
In which I finally managed to eat like a guy.
The perfect food was in front of me, and I could finally eat it.
