The night wind blew in short gusts, just enough to ruffle the dew-laden grass. The wind no longer had the bitter bite of the cold night, but now carried with it the promise of the rising Sun. A dark form was crumpled in a heap next to a fat trunk of a large tree, but it had not yet stirred. The leaves that remained in the tree above shook and rattled, but still the crumpled form did not stir. The only sign that it was still alive was the deep and rhythmic breathing that shoved up its chest every few seconds. Minute by minute passed until finally the sun broke through the horizon line and illuminated the very tops of the trees. It was another half an hour until finally the sun started to warm all things at the forest's floor.

The warmpth, combined with the ever persisitant rumbling of the leaves finally saw to it that the dark lump moved. To an untrained eye, the dark fur - for that was what it was - almost blended in with the grass while it was night. If one to dare to venture close enough, they would then notice that the dark fur was not always dark. As it got closer to the ground, it began to lighten....as if the sun were setting in the creature's fur itself.

The not-so-sleeping figured stirred once more and swivelled its ears, listening the the morning buzzing of nature's children as they too began to stir from sleep. Birds called out to one another, then dropped down to fill their bellies. This reminder of food sent the stomach of the furred one rumbling, forcing it to stir even further. Finally one eye opened, followed by the other, and it finally stood up and stretched. It's midnight fur ended near the chest and there began a light shading of a sun losing the fight with the night. It was then, and only then, one would be able to tell that the sleeping mound had actually been a Shaoilin Wolf.

The she wolf shook her entire body, throwing off all the morning's dew that had settled on her fur and stretched once more. The sun felt good on her body, and she took a deep breath of the morning air.

Something is different, she thought to herself. Almost immediately she spun all around, checking for any signs that there was a nearby predator who had intended to either kill her for sport or make her its dinner. Seeing no new tracks in the heavily dampened grass, her shackles settled back down and she was finally able to turn her thoughts back to her rumbling belly.

There was plenty of game in this area, she had found out after spending only a few days roaming around. Generally she liked to stay in one place for only two or three days at the most, but something urged her to stay in this location. Something pulled at her. What disturbed her most was that the pulling seemed to come from the empty place inside of her, a place that had never been filled. She didn't even conciously know it was there, or at least she wouldn't acknowledge it.

Shaking off the sleepiness from the previous evening, she scanned the area around her. There was no immediate pray in the area, but she knew where a lot of them liked to come together. There was a secluded clearing that was perfect for sunning one's hide, and she headed for that clearing and felt as though the empty hole inside of her wanted her to. She headed off to gain her breakfast, and for a reason yet unknown to her.

((OOC: Alrighty, I've got the thread started! I'm not sure if I'll be able to reply tonight again or not but we'll see! The only thing we need to 'worry' about is us all replying at the same time. Well, go and have fun!!))

PS - We can take our time with this; do it right. If you don't have time/want to reply right away, that's fine!! Besides, lol....I'm getting off for the night. Y'all have a great one and I'll pop in tomorrow!
