My best mate LOVES Terry Pratchett, especially the Discworld series.
This evening he read the first 10 pages or so of "Guards, Guards!" to me via Skype and I really like it :3

I will probably go to one of the used book stores looking for it.

I can't believe I missed this thread xd
I love Terry Pratchett, especially the Watch and Witches books of the Discworld series, and the Unadulterated Cat.
He's the reason I'm with/found my partner, we met through a Discworld fan site sweatdrop
My favourite Discworld book is a toss-up between Nightwatch, the Wintersmith and Witches Abroad.
I'd definately reccomend his books, especially if you like fantasy that doesn't take itself too seriously, and Death of Rats...he's awesome too.
