I'm here bro. My girlfriend and everyone she knows is into The Strokes. ... except me, I'm not into them. PHOENIX AND INTERPOL ARE MUCH BETTER.
How are you comparing Phoenix to The Stokes (and Interpol, for that matter)? Maybe you could compare Interpol to them (their first album is more consistant than much of The Strokes stuff, but not necessarily better), but they're still completely different bands minus the repetitive slamming of the same 4-5 chords/notes every song.
Is This It and Room on Fire have probably been in my top ten favorite albums these past few months. They pulled me out of a lot of s**t.
Turn on the Bright Lights just makes me feel terrible (which makes it VERY good, but still.)
I think they're just too different stylistically. The Strokes are fun, and Interpol is depressing.
