Recipies that I do from time to time (note: I dont really measure, my apologies sweatdrop ) :

"Eggs ala Goldenrod"

Ingreediants:

2 eggs per person eating
bread
flour
butter
milk
salt

Preperation:

-Hardboil the eggs (usually 20 minutes, yes?)
-Fill the pot with cool water a few times to get them to cool and have a friend start shelling them.
-Once shelled, seperate the whites from the yolks.
-Chunk up the whites into a bowl for later and leave the yolks in a bowl as well.
-mix butter and flour in a hot pot tot he consistancy of beach sand (like silty mud)
- slowly add a small ammount of milk while stirring. until thick. Continue to add till a gravy consistancy.
-add small ammount of salt for taste.
-remove from heat.
-toast slices of bread and butter them (usually two per person)
-place toast on plate (not stacked) and mix the chunked egg whites to the white sauce.
-pour over the toast perportionally to each person being served.
-crumple a yolk ontop of each slice of toast.
--- as added nice look, you can push the yolk through a wire strainer to make it look fancy-ish lol

Simple Chicken soup:
(feeds lots)

Ingredients:

1 original rotisserie checken from the grocery store.
salt
pepper
water

Preperation:
-put chicken in large pot (make sure to remove bungee string thing from legs)
-fill pot with water to over the level of the chicken.
-boil for 3-4 hours (really, if you set the burner right, you can set it and leave it.)
- add salt and perre as needed while boiling.
(may need to add a little extra water as it boils)
-once meat falls from bones, it is ready to serve.
---note: you'll need to pick out the bones as you eat
---Note: Tumeric helps add to the flavor, but if you dont have the $5-$6 to pay for ONE seasoning, just skip it. I do. lol

Simple EggDrop Soup

Ingrediants:

Chicken boulean cubes
eggs
water

Preperation:

here's a really really simple one!

Ingredients:
1 can/tube/thing grands flakey buttery biscuts
1 can condenced cream of chicken

Prepare:

Prepare each item as indicated on their label (may want to use less milk in the cream of chicken for some added thickness. Also may want to atart soup later than biscuts so that they're ready at the same time.)

Place two biscuts on a plate.
Ladel desiered ammount of soup over biscuts.

Basically a very simple version of biscuts and gravy. 3nodding

I used to work at a privatly owned gourmet coffee shop and while I was working there, my boss taught me the recipe she created for the best Breakfast Sandwiches which not only taste delicious, but are healthy as well. She is a kind person and I highly doubt she would mind if I posted the recipe here.

Makes 6 Sandwhiches (or 12)
Ingedients:
9 eggs (or 18 )
Salt
Pepper
Ham/Sausage/Pepperoni/etc (optional)
6 (or 12) slices of American Cheese
6 (or 12) bagels/croissants/English Muffins

Other equipment: Cookie Sheet, Spatula

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1. To make the egg part of the Sandwich, crack all of the eggs into a bowl and mix the white and yellow parts together completly.

2. Pour the egg mixture onto a 9x9inch cookie sheet (if you are making a larger recipe, pour into a 13x9inch sheet). Add salt and pepper to your liking.

3. If you would like to add meat, chop it up into 1/2" pieces and spread them into the egg.

4. Put the sheet with the egg in it into the oven and bake for about 30 minutes.

5. When the egg is finished, let it cool for a little bit. Cut the egg into 6 (or 12) pieces and wrap each one individually with plastic wrap. Stick these in the refridgerator. They will keep for at least a week in the there.

6. When you make the sandwhich, toast the bagel or muffin first (NOT the croissant). After the bread is ready, place a piece of the baked egg on it topped with a piece of cheese. Place in the Microwave for 30 to 45 seconds (or until the cheese starts to melt).

7. Eat and enjoy.^_^

Notes: Because the egg is baked instead of fried, this makes it a very healthy option and it enhances the flavor of the egg. The egg parts keep very well in the refridgerator so if you want to make a quick but tasty sandwhich before running to work/school that helps. mrgreen

Cupcakes baked in icecream cones!

Pink one is Raspberry cupcake with a raspberry frosting that has an almond hint. The chocolate one is Mint Chocolate Chip brownie cupcake dipped in a chocolate sauce.

Gotta heart the cinnamon heart that topped off the chocolate cupcake, and the colourful dinosaur sprinkles!

When you make cookies and they go hard, throw in a piece of bread. It will make them soft again.

A recipe that I made up to highly boost your energy, and its low in calories which is a great bonus!

Ingredients: 1 can of sugar free Red Bull, 4 oz. of Blueberries, ice
Supplies: 12 oz cup, and a blender

1. Put the blue berries in the 12 oz cup.
2. Add ice into the cup until the cup is full
3. Pour the SugarFree Red Bull into the cup over the ice (this must be done after the ice and berries are in the cup) until it fills the top.

4. Blend together until smooth
5. Pour into a glass and drink this yummy thing that will boost your energy.

Note: Normally I hate Red Bull, but the berries make it taste better and they energize you better in combination with the energy drink.

This one isn't mine its actually El Toritos but I've been making it for about 2 years now...

El Torito's Tortilla Soup

2 chicken breasts; boneless, skinless
3 qt.. chicken broth
1 red onion, diced
2 carrots, diced
1 boiling potato, diced
1/4 C. tomato paste
1 bay leaf
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 tsp. chipotle chile en adobo, pureed
1 tsp. pickled jalapeno chile seeded, chopped
1 tsp. dried Mexican oregano
1/8 tsp. cumin
salt, to taste
white pepper, to taste
1 zucchini, diced
1 yellow squash, diced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
juice from 1 lime
2 Tbsp. sweet Sherry (preferably Harvey's Bristol Cream)
1 Tbsp. cilantro, chopped
1 Tbsp. fresh mint, chopped
4 corn tortillas--cut into thin strips
Oil
1/2 lb. Jack cheese, shredded
12 slices avocado
cilantro sprigs

Methods/steps
Poach chicken breast in simmering chicken broth until done through, about 10 minutes. Set aside until cool enough to handle and shred. Combine chicken
broth, chicken, red onion, carrots, potato, tomato paste, bay leaf, garlic, chipotle and jalapeno chilies, oregano, cumin and salt and pepper in large saucepan. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Correct seasoning, if necessary. Add zucchini, squash, pepper, lime juice and Sherry. Bring again to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Add cilantro and mint. Stir, then remove from heat. To assemble, fry tortilla strips in hot oil until crisp. Drain on paper towels and set aside. Ladle soup into each bowl. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and tortilla strips. Garnish each bowl with avocado slice and sprig cilantro. Serve at once.
