~Weird Animal Behaviour Stories~

Have you ever had an animal go crazy on you? Ever seen an animal do something a little strange? Heard a story about a certain deranged pet from a friend?

Tell your story here. Whether at home, at the zoo, in the aquarium, on a camping trip, or any other occasion, animals can do strange things. I have several stories here... Starting with the chihuahua.

Onchalata

My friend has a chihuahua named Onchalata (no rhyme intended). He calls her "Onch" for short. This dog does many strange things... Two of the most notable strange things she does are "The Absorbing Eye" and "Drooling Syndrome", as I like to call them.
The Absorbing Eye
Onchy is a cute little dog, with her small size, her big, rigid ears, and her dainty style of walking. But most notable are her big round bug-eyes that can absorb anything like sillyputty. Now, don't get me wrong. My friend loves animals- he'd never hurt one intentionally. But if you stick something like a strand of hair into Onch's eye, she will not only show no sign of pain... But her eye will absorb the hair a little, allowing to stick. Weird, eh?
Drooling Syndrome
Not the strangest thing, but possibly the most comical. I'll keep this nice, short and simple. I was in the car once with my friend, on a long car trip. Onchy the chihuahua is happily sitting on his lap, and about five minutes into the drivem she starts drooling all over. I'm not talking little stands of thin saliva here. I'm talking huge, digustingly thick globs. I think that speaks for itself.

Jumping Pogo Stick, Floating Bubbles

My cousin, who lives with me (of should I say, who I live with), owns two dogs. I'm not sure what breed they are... All I can say is that they're small, white, and fluffy. Their names are Bubbles and Pogo. Now, Bubbles, the young one, will bark at anything. And I mean anything- from me, to a falling leaf. So, needless to say, we never have peace over here. But to make it worse, whenever Bubbles barks, Pogo will srut over to him in his proud, "old man" (he's 14 human years old) sort of way, and bark at him to stop! Yip! Woof! Yip! Woof! Yip! Woof! And it never stops. Then, they get in to these huge dog fights. yeah, they don't get along. I think there's something wrong with Bubbles. Anyway...

The Humping Puppy

Yes, we all know what this is about. I'm quite sure that this isn't such rare behaviour, but I felt that it needed to be put in here anyway. My friend has a newborn female puppy of an unknown breed. Just like the dog from "Meet The Fockers", she humps anything. Poles, legs, cereal bowls... Even washing machines. Let's hear more humping puppy stories from you people out there!

Ruby the Wonder-Dog

There was once a dog named Ruby- a labradoodle. She was brave. She was mighty. But when her owner came home one day with a little kitten, no bigger than a mdeium-sized teddy bear, she ran like hell. And when she finally built up the courage to face the vicious kitten another time... She ran like hell. And to this day, whenever this kitten comes near her, she runs like hell. Ruby the Wonder-Dog.

The End

If you're still conscious after that unnecesarily (sp?) long opening post, then give me your weird pet stories! Through this thread! Not through PM's! AHAHAHAHAHA!

I've noticed some weird horse behaviors before. One of the most common is grain-throwing.

Horses receive grain twice a day (an oat/corn/other grains mixture with some molassas). They love it. They live to receive their grain. They freak out when they know they're getting it. Why, then, do some proceed to toss half of it around when they get it? They dig their nose in and purposely try to throw the bucket around, sending their precious food everywhere. I've even seen some with ground grain buckets pick the buckets up with their teeth and wave them around, again sending grain everywhere but into their mouth. Wouldn't they want to keep as much of it as possible?

This one's kinda bizarre...

My neighbor's family adopted a puppy from the pound. It's mother had been killed, and it had been weaned too early.
One day, my neighbor and I were sitting in his livingroom watching tv and hanging out. He had his shirt off, and was lying on the floor, while I sat on the couch. The puppy ran in, and was licking his face, ect, durring the commercials. Then the show came back on, so we were focused in on it. All of a sudden, I hear him yell, and he scoots away from the puppy as fast as possible. Apparently, the puppy was sitting on his chest, and then started sucking his n****e. sweatdrop

I got two dogs as TINY puppies and their both black lab, well since they were both males and were growing up, if you seperated them for more than 20 minutes when they were about 1 yr old they would fight when they seen each other again! Now they will just fight, and I mean good fights, ripping each other to shreads. Its freaky and scary LOL!

Anywho, I wanted to share the cutest thing with you!!
OK, I have this black lab named Mylencho (Its pronounced my-link-oh) anyway he WATCHES TV!!!! I am so serious, he watches animal planet and his favorite show is K9 Karma. Its so cute, he knows when its on and stuff and will come to you and tell you he wants to watch it! Its so cute!

This dog is amazing, he fetches, sits, rolls over, and even says "I LOVE YOU". He is really different and even listens and grunts when Im talking like he understands me.

Do any of you have an animal like this? I am really eager to hear cute stories. And if you want to hear more of mine, just lemme know, I LOVE to tell them!

Awwww thats too cute! I think its amazing how some people are like "It's just a dog" but what most do not realize is they have feelings too! I really consider my pets my children and wouldn't trade them for the world.

My dog doesn't really care about the TV (he's mostly blind anyways, so I'm sure he can't see it), but I love how attached he is to us. He likes to follow us to whatever room we're in and plop on the floor there. He doesn't want to jump all over everyone, he just wants to be with us. When I'm up in my room, he comes up the steps to be with me. That's quite a feat, considering his size, the steepness of our steps, and his bad legs. He dreams a lot, too. He does those dreams where he kicks and barks i his sleep. If we think he might be having a nightmare, we say his name, and he wags his tail in his sleep.

Awwww, OMGoodness, that is the cutest thing EVER!!! My dog does not hear me in his sleep. He is a character though. Your so lucky!! Your pup has to be much older than correct? I love older dogs, they warm your heart, ignore you when your mad, and comfort you when your sad, they've been around long enough to know emotions and they have them memorized. SO CUTE!!
