HER MAJESTY, SOPHIA. BY THE GRACE OF GOD. QUEEN OF ENGLAND, SCOTLAND, IRELAND & FRANCE. DEFENDER OF THE FAITH. HEREBY ANNOUNCES THE STATE OPENING OF THE FIRST PARLIAMENT OF ENGLAND OF HER MOST GLORIOUS REIGN.
By the command of her majesty, the Parliament will pass the Act of Nullification, rendering all laws passed in England, Scotland, and Ireland since 1688 to be null and void. The Act of Union ceases to exist; there is no longer a Kingdom of Great Britain, but the Kingdoms of England, Scotland, and Ireland, held by Her Majesty, Sophia. The most ancient claim to the throne of France, held since the days of the Plantagenet dynasty from who the Queen counts amongst her descendants, as well as the Tudors, and the Stuarts is maintained as well. As the Union is dissolved, the separate Parliament for England, and the Estates for the Scots are reestablished. The Parliament of Ireland is Dublin also continues to exist; Her Majesty plans to travel to Edinburgh in due time to oversee the affairs of the Scottish Parliament.
As an enlightened despot, Her Majesty knows well that her reign relies upon her good will and the support of her subjects. Parliament as such passes the Royal Declaration of Indulgence, which will extend religious toleration to all Christians, including dissenter Protestant sects (such as Quakers, Methodists, ect) as well as Catholics. The Church of England remains the official religion of England with Her Majesty as Supreme Governor, who is a most loyal and pious Anglican. All religious acts passed and retained prior to 1688, most notably the Elizabethan Settlement in regards to the Church, are maintained.
The Parliament of England also recognizes the Queen's husband, the Duke of Manchester, as her consort. He is officially the King of England, Scotland, Ireland, and France, with the style of His Majesty, but is granted no political authority, all which shall be held by the Queen herself. The lands held by his family and their associated titles merge with the Crown Estates. As a show of faith in the new monarchy, the Parliament agrees to an annual allowance of £500,000 for Her Majesty, and £450,000 for His Majesty.
GOD SAVE THEIR MAJESTIES!
