I went into FYE to get a poster and as i was there i checked out some avenged sevenfold CDs so i check in the metal section..IT WASN"T THERE...so i asked the lady "Where are the Avenged Sevenfold CDs" and she checked the metal-not there-but they were in the Rock section...But the other FYE had it in the metal... Where do you think it should go?

well, STST was metalcore Waking the Fallen was borderline metalcore/hardrock and the rest are rock so going by the majority of the music produced..... rock wins but its all good 3nodding the music is great so why even give the genre any attention?

Waking The Fallen being their best album, (Shoo, anyone who doesn't agree :3) I'd say they're hard rock.

I think they are a combination of metal and hard rock, but more on the metal side, because their songs have a lot of metal influences and aspects. I love them either way.

I think it would be metal, But like everyone says it depends all on where you look. Because everyone in the music stores don't know rock from metal unless it is in their face. No offense to anyone that is/will work in a music store. But you would most likely find them in the metal at where I looked

STST and Waking the Fallen = Metalcore.
Metalcore is borderline metal and punk, so yeah. Interpret that as you will.
City of Evil, Self-Titled and Nightmare = Hard Rock.
It's just hard rock with a lot of distortion and double bass. That's all.
