The sky seemed like the gods had lit it on fire. It blazed red around the orange globe, and Kaishori grinned as she gazed at it. It felt warm and strong, like nothing could defeat those who stood in the crimson light. She loved the feeling, and closed her eyes to eat up the feeling.
She wanted to run. She wanted to hunt. She wanted to move in this light, and feel her muscles breathe. So she ran, plowing through the tall grass, not really caring where she was going. She could've been headed into some hostile territory and she wouldn't have cared. Just another challenge, something to get her muscles moving. Kaishori found that fighting others, even just in fun, always made her happy.
"Ah." Coming to a stop, Kaishori sighed in satisfaction. Running was fun, but running alone wasn't as fun. After she had left the den, she had decided that she wanted to make some friends, but she hadn't run into a single creature since she left.

He hadn't been away from the swamps long, but he was beginning to miss the company of others. He had wanted to clear his head, but quickly realized that did not mean he wished to be alone the whole time. No, he enjoyed company. Was it not somewhat where his name stemmed from. Somewhat.
He moved forward his fur bathed in the light of the setting sun. It was one thing he thoroughly enjoyed when he left the swamps. One did not see light like in the open lands. The light was muted, not that Vastal had a problem with it. It was home. It was what he was use to.
He was currently looking for something to do or someone to entertain him, but he wasnt having much luck of it. He sighed and continued forward through the grasses in the cool evening air.

Kai's ears perked as she heard movement ahead. Normally, she would have just charged towards it without hesitation, but after her last encounter, that turned out to not be the greatest idea. This time, she decided, it'd just be a quick trot towards it. Or a slow run, whichever came to her first.
Her small frame bounded through the grass, but it didn't appear as though she were in a hurry. She tried to calm her anxious spirit, excited about seeing another creature out on the savannah, and only hoped that it was a lion. She had only come across a few lions since she left home, but she all ready knew she liked them more. They usually didn't seem as cocky, but who knew?
She let out a sigh of relief when she saw the figure of a large lion a little ways ahead of her. Her slow run turned into a quick trot, and she swiftly made her way towards the other lion, a smile on her face.

Vastal was a bit lost in his thought as he walked forward through the grasses, so it surprised him greatly to see another coming right at him. Even more so, since the other was not coming slowly, but instead trotting and had offered no greeting.
Vastal looked around wandering if he'd accidentally wandered into another's territory, but noticed nothing particularly outstanding. He inhaled deeply, but no strong scents came to him. Vastal frowned and braced himself.
If he ran now he would surely be chased and he was not for the panic of such an adventure. Vastal shook his thoughts away in favor of actually looking at the other.
It was a female, smaller than him and she appeared to be smiling. Vastal sighed and relaxed, taking comfort in the sight before him, knowing he would not be chased or attacked. At least he hoped not.
"Hello", he called out to the female.

Kaishori hadn't been an overly social cub, which is probably why she approached the male in such a strange manner. Things ended up working out though, right? Her eyes eased, and she slowed as she neared him, not wanting to plot right into the larger male. Her small frame was still healing from her last battle, and she didn't want to upset someone larger than her, not right now.
"Hello." She dipped her head, wanting to be as friendly as she could be. "I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, but you were to only other living thing out here, so I decided to come say hello." Kaishori was awkward in social situations, but she needed to be around others. It just felt wierd being all alone on the big savannah, which was probably why she sought out a pride to begin with. Sure, there were other reasons to help her along, but it was a main ingredient. And now that she had proved herself to the pride of her dreams, she couldn't wait to present herself to the leader of the pride.
But that would come once she had healed up fully.

Vastal smiled and nodded to the small female, "It is fine with me. You are not a bother at all. It always nice to make a new friend."
Vastal sat before the female and looked her over quickly, taking in her injuries and wondering how she came about them. "Are you from around here? I am a traveler and I am at a lost currently as to where I actually am? Are their any prides near by?"
He wondered slightly if he should have admitted his being a traveler, but then when he thought about he was sure it was the best course of action. He did not wish to run into whatever it was that she had run into. His journey was not to gain scars, but instead to understand his current tumble of emotions.
