My best friend is pregnant and getting married tomorrow. My two other best friends are engaged. One is getting married next summer to her boyfriend of 5 years. The other is waiting to finish University so 2-3 years.
Meanwhile I'm single, still in College and getting my first car. So hopefuly I'll have plenty of time to have fun and be free before following in their footsteps. I never do things like everyone else anyways.

Don't sweat it. When I was single, all my friends were married, when I was married (many many years ago) most of my friends were single.

It's better to have your own life before you get stitched into someone else's like that anyway. I get the feeling my mom thinks I'm an old maid because I'm *gasp* 20 and haven't managed to get myself knocked up yet. I think it's because all of her friend's kids are having babies at like 15. Some bandwagons really aren't meant to be jumped upon.

I get the feeling my mom thinks I'm an old maid because I'm *gasp* 20 and haven't managed to get myself knocked up yet. I think it's because all of her friend's kids are having babies at like 15. Some bandwagons really aren't meant to be jumped upon.
I agree lol. When I first got dumped, after the initial feeling of no other man interests me and I'll never get over him, I went straight to rebound mode. I spent the greater part of my life being single. And he was my only REAL relationship and first love. I desperately wanted to be in a relationship again and got upset when people told me to enjoy being single when really I've been single 20yrs out of 21 if I add up all my relationships. Plus all my friends are not only NOT single but freaking engaged or married. So it makes going out kinda sucky. But I'm finally at that stage where really I'm not interested in a relationship at all lol. I just want to got out, flirt, and have fun. Then when/if I ever fall for a guy again, I'll be ready to settle down. I mean I'm still 21 and the majority of my friends are engaged or married and the rest are in long term relationships. WHAT THE HELL!!! I feel like I'm the only sane one but I'm the crazy friend lol

Most of friends got engaged when they were 16 or 17 so I know how you felt at first and of course most of them will probably get divorced later on because they jumped into marriage without getting a chance to really know each other.
Things work themselves out in time, right? And it's better to spend time being single to enjoy your own life before you worry about it sharing it with someone else. =)

And it's better to spend time being single to enjoy your own life before you worry about it sharing it with someone else. =) Yikes, well I don't think you know your OWN self yet at that point. I'm not worried about sharing my life with someone else lol. I very much enjoyed that. I even feel like I didn't just lose my boyfriend but my entire second family. Anyways, what I mean is I'm going to enjoy going out and flirting and meeting new people before waking up to the same face every morning xd

just so you know its also pretty weird to be one of your only friends to be getting merried. its only me and one of my friends who have rings, everyone doesnt even have boyfriends right now. but i think that couple life is best for me since im so clingy and have never really liked to party opr stay out late. my fiance and i are so lame XD i have a shart of when we will have the wedding, when we will get our dog, when we will have our first kid, and when i get into venomous snakes
right now im having a feeling the baby will come before we plan, but we have talked it over and its alright, he is making enough money where it wouldnt be too much of an issue. plus if i do get preggers sooner than planned i will be the first of my friends to have a tiny monster ^.^

I adored the couple life. I could give my man a massage for an hour at a time, and I usually preferred lying in bed with him just cuddling than going out. And you know that saying "only have eyes for you" boy was that ever true, I never so much as looked at another guy, and that continued long after he dumped me. I could barely stand the thought of kissing any other guy. But I'm at that point in my life, maybe it;s cause im still hurting, but I can't commit to anyone. I'm like a man lol. I've dated plenty of guys, and they were all cute, and nice, and fun. But I could never agree to be exclusive with any of em. I just want to play the field, keep my options open, and get to know them all before focusing all my attention on one. And Im open about that from the very beginning. At the risk of scaring them away, I explain basically what I said above, and they're all cool with it.

Wow, exact opposite! I've been in a relationship most of my life and I regret it! Not with the same person obvs, that would be insane. But starting when I was 12, I was in a relationship for 1 1/2 years, then 2 1/2, then 1, and now my current boyfriend I've been with for a little over 1 year. All between that those there were little stupid relationships or flings that I don't really count (except one ex who I was with for a short time, but she's still very dear to my heart).
I really really regret being tied down during high school. I feel like I didn't get to experience it properly because I was stuck in an abusive relationship and didn't get out of it until the beginning of senior year. Then I really did have fun and live it up though. I was even in a band. That was the best year.

Wow, exact opposite! I've been in a relationship most of my life and I regret it! Not with the same person obvs, that would be insane. But starting when I was 12, I was in a relationship for 1 1/2 years, then 2 1/2, then 1, and now my current boyfriend I've been with for a little over 1 year. All between that those there were little stupid relationships or flings that I don't really count (except one ex who I was with for a short time, but she's still very dear to my heart).
I really really regret being tied down during high school. well there's a difference between being in a bad relationship and a good one obviously. I mean my ex and I still had alone time with our own friends, we still went out together with his or my friends. It's not like I was wasn't allowed to hang out with male friends, it's not like I didn't get to live my life, I actually had someone to go biking with and such which was really nice. I realize though, that I was totally blind. I loved him and I was happy but I thought I knew him and he turned out to be a jerk an it took me a ling time to see he wasn't as good a boyfriend as I thought. And I'm glad I found out now rather than in years when there's no fish left in the sea. So now I wana know what's out there before settling for the next nice guy that comes along.
