Okay... where to start...
---
My village was attacked when I was just a boy. Acutally, I think my first memory was men in metal armor running past me, and a woman laying in front of me bleeding. I think I may have been crying for some reason... more for the woman than anything else...
I was the only one to stick around the village ruins. I was alone, but I made it. I hunted, explored, but I never really strayed from the village. I guess it gave me a sense of security... I felt safe there. Like the spirits were watching over me...
Eventually I got the courage to move on. I guess I just one day got this feeling that there was something more.... So I set out, looking for... just somewhere. I started down the hill that my village had apparently been on for years. On my first day, I found an outpost, a small one. Only a few armoured soldiers were there. They were kind. They actually enjoyed my company. They taught me their language, and I will never forget the fact that they introduced me to sake... Where'd I put my bottle....
Oh, uh, sorry! Where was I... after a few weeks, the outpost was to be scrapped and they were to move on. I asked to join them, but they said an Elf would never be aloud into the military.
After that, nothing but wandering around, I suppose. I was on my own for the longest time. That is, until I met my former inner demon. A fox (in his physical state) by the name of Kitsune. (Kit for short.) He was funny, and I guess my first real friend. We laughed, we argued, we faught... Lots of fun, really.
We found lots of villages along the way, but most of them drove us out. An elf with a demon? No good. I went a whole week without any food... I remember that... I also the month I went without sake... Sniffle....
Ahem, back to the story, we eventually found a big city. I mean a BIG city. I found work in a tavern (YESS!!!) and worked for a woman named... I believe it was Karen. She was the nicest woman I had ever met. She sent me on small errands, and had me watch the bar while she went to meetings or something.
Basically, I settled down in this city... It was good. There was one strange occurence, Kitsune got sick one day. I didn't know demons could get sick, but he said not to worry. It wasn't too bad, he said. I woke up the next morning, feeling more pure, I guess. I never did see my little buddy ever again...
So, after the tavern was closed, and I said my goodbyes to Karen, I moved on. I stayed in this city, met my lover, met Ice, met this family, and I guess I'm here now.
Hmm... did I miss anything? ... Where's my bottle...
Hope you enjoyed it! It's good to tell a story every now and then, so if you ever wanna hear another story, you just come find me, got it?
