The Lewis and Clark Expedition
Long ago, when the United states wasnt formed yet, President Jefferson had received 15,000,000 dollars in tax money, and could buy back America with it, but instead, he bought new Orleans port. People were angry with the President. So to save his presidency, He had Lewis and Clark to explore the indian land. He made the local Indian Woman, Sacagawea, venture through it with the men to interpret indian language. And also, they had to find an all water route to the ocean. Lewis had to note down a map for others to follow in their waking footsteps.Clark had to note new aniamls and plants. When they were going down heavy rapids in hopes of finding the route, their boat tipped. It was Sacagawea who saved their most important things. When they got to the end of the rapids, they found where the river started, which is now known as the Mississippi river.
When the men found the all water route, they camped there for moths. Then they ventured back, and now, all the people were grateful that they returned.
