As for my opinion, I don't care if he won a prize. If those people think he deserves it, then let them give it to him.

Yeah I agree. I mean, it's just a prize and I don't think anyone would really be saying someone deserved it or not if it was anyone else. Aside from that I do think he's put some good effort forth, but he's yet to make any real progress.

That's true. But to expect him to turn the world around in a year is ridiculous, IMO. He's only one man with alot of hope. He's still got more than 3 years ahead of him to fix the mass damage left behind. It's like trying to rebuild a car from a crash. Only the economy doesn't have an insurance deductible to replace it.

I read this earlier I think it's a bit premature. then again, hey, their call. o.o they're the ones giving the prize, not me.

Yeah. It's impossible to accomplish as much change as he promised in the little time he's had so far. I think he's made some good steps though.

I agree with everything that's been said thus far. But I do think he was able to share a lot of his hope with the rest of the world. He's quite popular in most other countries.

I agree with what has been said so far, but then again I'm not the one giving out the prize. I think it's a little soon for him to be recieving something like this, but then again I'm not giving it out.

I could be wrong about this but its called the nobel peace prize, correct? Obama wants to continue war with afghanistan. I like Obama and everything but to continue a war that you have the power to stop doesn't seem very peaceful.

As much of an obama supporter as I am, i do find it odd that they've done this so soon. However, when they talk about the war measures, wars can't be ended in a day. On top of that, i hate how people say that Obama has done nothing compared to Bush when Obama hasn't had a year and Bush had 8. People need to lighten up.

I like Obama and everything but to continue a war that you have the power to stop doesn't seem very peaceful. cant just pull out of there either. Its going to be a long slow process. And he does want to reduce the amount of peeps over there cuz its unnessisary to have as many people as we do out there.

I could be wrong but I remember Obama running on a platform of 'more solders in afganistan and less solders in iraq'. He believes that afganistan (or I should say al queda) is where the real threat to america is.

I agree what Kira said, if they believe that he should have it, give it to him. But I mean, maybe they should have gave him a bit more time. I don't know, but I just hate how people expect him to get us out this crisis in the matter of a year or months. Some people are expecting too much from him too soon. Which I can understand because they're struggling. Before anything get better, it will get a bit worse.

If I was on the committee I wouldn't have given it to him, but it's also their prize and they can give it out as they see fit. I think people are honestly making a big deal out of it. And some are even blaming him! I'm sure if he refused to accept it, he would've come under fire too.
I'm not Obama's biggest fan but lately it seems like everyone's looking for something wrong with him.
