I was going to ask that very question, lol. I just started myself andheard about the recipes from a friend, she had no idea what to do with them either.

That's a bit irrelevant, but still not that hard to do if you have the time. You should maximize your luck buffs, ghi, and fight enemies that bring good challenge to the table(green names). Rings have a lower drop rate than other things I think, but they can drop from any animated you fight if the conditions are right. Or, if you can afford it, you can always buy one from the marketplace. However, I wouldn't recommend it when a little work could net you one for free. Just be persistent.
