Ro'ark, certainly wasn't one who was overly fond of cold places. He hated the season of winter, even if he saw the practical need for it. Their planet in many places had to change constantly in order to keep the balance of things, from spring to summer to fall to winter.. Still out of all the seasons there were, if he could choose one to keep all year long it would be summer, oh how he longed for the returning of those hot beautiful months.

And yet here he was, knee deep in snow, in the middle of what should have been spring (Not that he liked spring any better) searching for who of late had been a rather illusive constellation. Aeos..He didn't know the twilif very well, as their opposing elements had made it rather hard Ro'ark to get too close. What he did know of Aeo's though he'd always liked. A kind warm hearted twilif, sweet natured and silent, always handing out those cute little ice roses of his to anyone he came across.
At least he had been that way until he'd changed, there was a small time when Aeo's had been absent from their little area around the lake, their common meeting place, and when he returned he was no longer the small twilif they had known. He had become a constellation, akin to a god who looked far more like a warrior to Ro'arks eyes then the ice angel he had assumed his friend was.

Despite the sudden change Aeos had managed to remain sweet, if more distant then before..That distance over time seemed to grow, and aeos slowly stopped visiting them, until one day he just vanished all together.
Which led him here..Not because of the strangeness of the forest still being covered in snow, but the search for Aeos in what seemed to Ro'ark, the most logical place. He honestly couldn't care less if the forest remained frozen for all eternity, he'd simply avoid it and stay in warmer parts. What he did care for was an explanation, unless aeos was dead then certainly one was owed to them for his absence.

Ro'ark growled softly as another sprinkle of snowflakes landed on his face and promptly melted, wiping the tiny sprinkles of water away as he made his way deeper into the frozen lands, the eeriness of the silence making him wonder if the forest was already forever lost to a snowy death..

“There is someone here.”

The casual remark made Aeos lift his head from sleep, wings unwrapping from his form to peer out at the darker
Constellation not too far off. His icy eyes revealed nothing, but his expression twitched faintly into a vague sense of
curiosity. He didn’t bother to ask who it was, as Aeos knew he had to take care of it no matter what the case. There
was a sense of dread coiling in the pit of his stomach, but there was also a growing thirst for… battle. It had been
way too dull, seeing the frozen beauty of the forest he had created for months on end.

“You’ll deal with it, won’t you?”

“Yes,” Aeos replied obediently. “Of course, Seir.” He stood carefully and brushed off fragments of ice from his form
before lifting his chin a bit to stare out at the endless white with occasional contrast of deadened trees. Wings lifted
and caught air, pulling Aeos up into the skies to scan for the intruder in their forest. Once upon a time, he would
have never guessed he’d be doing this--- looking for people to kill or drive away.

Eventually, he found what he sought. From far above, it was a bright orange blip within the snow. Like flames, he
thought, before he realized it was fire. … A fire Twilif…

Aeos spiraled downwards, stilling his wings. His hazy memory drew up an image of a clearing amidst the night,
one where he had played with Locke before the lock Twilif had disappeared. He could remember something
brightly burning, and painful, too. Without warning, he slammed in the snow almost noiselessly, body stilled in a
crouch before the Ice Constellation stood and stared at Ro’ark.

A small puff of snow, indistinguishable from all that was falling around him, was all the warning Ro'ark had before Aeos's form appeared before him. Tall and rather menacing looking considering the surroundings.
The Ice constellation blended in so well with the back drop, had it been for Aeos eyes Ro'ark may have mistaken him for a large fallen icicle.

"Well now, how pleasant is this. You know my friend I think you owe me something..or at least the others" Ro'ark huffed in his warm but rough voice, smoldering ember eyes roaming his once friends form. The snowflakes still sizzling and melting away drawing slight shivers from him as he flicked off the few droplets of water that remained. At least Aeos looked well, if nothing else he seemed to be doing fine, probably more healthy now in his own element then he ever would be anywhere else.

If it wasn't for the silence ro'ark may have assumed things were fine. Where was the greeting 'purrr' or the smile he'd been so accustomed to seeing. Aeo's was never talkitive, well he had no voice so naturally..but he'd always given off an air of kindness. All Ro'ark could feel from him now was a bitter cold.

Erratic power twisted with invisible arms around the icy Constellation. His pale blue eyes regarded Ro’ark almost
chillingly; mouth pressed into a thin line that seemed only too unyielding alike the owner of said lips. Aeos let
silence fill in between the Twilif’s question and his answer, one that he considered and mulled over his mind. “I…”
the ice constellation began softly, cool tones managing to breeze into the wind swept air to the fire-Twilif’s ears. It
must have been strange for the other, considering his ever-wordless nature before.

A purr would have probably been easy to make, even if it were a lie, to assure the Twilif and make him go away.

”…I don’t believe the answer concerns you,” Aeos murmured and readjusted the fold of his wings almost in
agitated unease. He gravely disliked the warmth that Ro’ark was radiating, if only because of he could feel part of
the ice and snow around the Twilif melting even when he was a distance off. The Constellation lowered his head
slightly, strands of hair falling against even paler skin. They shielded his eyes, which closed as a sigh fluttered past
his lips.

“But, for some reason, I don’t think that’s an answer you’d accept.”

He took a moment to grab at scattered memory. The Ice Constellation wanted to forget, because he still felt the
bittersweet pain that the Lock-Twilif—Locke—had left when the two had parted for the last time. “Ro’ark,” Aeos
mused finally, drawing up the name. His bright-eyed gaze peered at the other through locks of icy hair.

Ro'arks ember colored eyes widened slightly, sure the wisp of sound he'd caught had been the wind. Some distant howling of the breeze, or a creak of ice hardened trees. The slight frown on his face briefly morphing into a surprised 'oh', making him look for a moment ever so stunned and childlike. A small whir of thoughts and questions buzzing through his head as he listened to his once mute friend speak. His voice soft and cold as the air that surrounded them, yet also very clear.

Ro'ark was unsure for a moment of what to do, whether to congratulate aeos on his new found voice, or deem this creature an impostor, some thing that had stolen their friends body and face. Somehow neither seemed appropriate...

"I'm afraid..that your right, even though it's not my place to be asking, my curiosity often gets the better of me" yes it certainly did, and what was that tale of the cat who became overly curious? "It is nice to know, that I was worthy of being remembered at least." he huffed, breath puffing out in warm frosty clouds in front of his face. Running his tongue over his lips as he absently tugged at his bracer, feet shifting in the snow that was melting beneath them.

"I hope this doesn't seem too rude...but may I at least ask how?" How, why..when..so many questions...a thousand questions, but maybe knowing at least about his friends newly found voice. Well, that might just be enough for him, shine a bit of light on things for the fiery twilif.
