So, because it is homecoming at my school, we have a whole spirit week going on right now. We had(in this order) PJ Day, Retro Day(bright colors oldie stuffs), Superhero day, Nerd Day, and School Spirit day(school colors, etc)
Well, today was Nerd day, and my nerd was a Band NerdXD I wore last years band shirt and (though not abnormal) carried my case around all day, instrument inside. I was tempted to take claribelle out and carry her around, but A: I would have to carry the case too, and B: i didn't want her to get hurtXD
Oh, and my superhero is my madeup superhero Super Band geek. Long storyXD
So, do you guys have spirit days/weeks? What do you do? Have you ever been able to do something band related for one day?

Our spirit weeks tend to be kinda wierd.
This year for homecoming we have: 80's day, genre day (each class is a diff music genre) Superhero day, and spirit day. (there is one more, but I can't remember it)
Last year, one of our football games fell on Halloween, so we had a pep assembly on Halloween. For pep assemblies, we're required to wear ouor Band t-shirts.
Therefor, we ended up with a legion of Zombie bands nerds (and one band werewolf *me*) on halloween. It was halarious.

Our Homecoming week consisted of Pj day, Patterns day Character day, Holiday day, and X-treme Spirit day.
On character day, it was kinda interesting to see all the different characters in the band room, and wonder what would happen if all the real characters got together.
Nothing band related though. Maybe next year!

get up and go day (pj's), costume day, mismatch day, hippie day, and maroon and gold day
i did mismatch day and maroon and gold day because band forces me to lol
also, on costume day
just picture a giant hotdog marching a tenor sax
because that's exactly what happened...

hat day, talkless tuesday (that never happened), blast from the past (wear something from the past), black and white day (wear something white and or black) n then spirt day.

For the week of Tuesday the 13th:
Tuesday: PJ Day
Wednesday: Tupper Gear Day (a day where we wear clothes that have our school's name on it. Sir Charles Tupper Secondary)
Thursday: Hip-hop day
Friday: Formal Friday

exdraghunt Therefor, we ended up with a legion of Zombie bands nerds (and one band werewolf *me*) on halloween. It was halarious. Yes! I love you! I've been trying to think of a costume for our band halloween party on halloweeen! Zombie band nerd! That is amazing! I can wear our old band shirt and paint my face and such! It will be awesome! Haha, and I thought I was going to have to buy a costume for the first tiem in 4 years. Yeah, my halloween costumes have consited of mixmatched old costumes. 7th grade I think it was, I was a angel-zombie-cat-witchXD A cat in a witches dress with zombie face paint and a halo, with high-heeled boots. Yeah, high heels are a bad idea for trick or treatingXD Eighth grade I was just a black cat, this time with a tail, and then last year we had a game, so I just said I was dressed as a band geek the whole gameXD There were some people who at school that day they did wear the old uniforms since we had gotten new ones the year before I came, and so the seniors and a few juniors wore the old ones because they kept them. They wore our real uniforms that night though, because they had to. And one kid, who I hate, ditched the game for trick r treating. I like halloween, even though it is off topicXD

We just had a spirit week a few weeks ago for no reason because our spirit comissioners are retards.
But our spirit week for homecoming (which isn't for another 2 weeks) will be College Team day (wear gear in support of your favorite college team), Nerd Day ("Oh good, I can just wear my normal clothes" day for me), Superhero day (yawn) and Class Color day.
We're on a 4-day school week.

Monday: Pirate vs. Ninja day
Tuesday: Hippie Day/Protest Day (wear clothes for spirit days we should have but don't, or protest the mock of the hippie movement that hippie day is by dressing anti-hippie [me])
Wednesday: Work-out day
Thursday: Class color/Senior Toga day

Our school tends to have random spirit week's too. I think the best theme was Hawai'ian day (several kids had coconut bras confiscated, all guys)
Spirit days at our school actually end up being the most interesting, as some kida have wild spirit gear. Capes and Afros in the school's colors and such.
Even better than spirit days are Basketball games. Our band does a diff theme each game. (Dress like your fav song FTW!)
