What Are Sprites?

Sprites are small, pixelated images that make up the graphics of the game during free-roam mode. Each file has a number of sprites put next to each other, and the game system can take those and give the illusion of movement with them. For example, here is one of three sprite sets that RPGMaker VX provides for free use.

You should note that sprites for every member being included in the game will be needed. If somebody has the skills to provide these sprites, please do. If not, they will slowly but surely be acquired from a friend of mine who can do this sort of thing (once again, slowly).

For example, she provided me with this sprite set of myself (in spaceman avatar):

Here's an interesting new update for you guys. Ever hear of Famitsu spriting? Well, this is an all-Japanese website that you can use to make your own professional-looking sprites. The choices are somewhat limited, but you can even Frankenstein some parts, I guess.

While the site itself is illegible (to me), it's easy enough to figure out by pressing buttons. That's what I did. Check it out.
