i was told jimbe is a japanese style pyjama? i tried to look it up on google but i think i have the wrong thing...

Is it this?
I typed in jinbei.
I think it would be pronounced as "jiMbei" instead of "jiNbei" though since the n is followed by a consonant made with the lips (p, b, and m. in this case b).

my mums in japan without me, and she said that she couldn't get me a yukata at this time of the year gonk but suggested a jimbe i guess she misheard it and spelled wrong- thanks for the correction.

Yeah, the best deals on Yukata are just slightly before the summer matsuri (festival) season. Otherwise they could run nearly 100 dollars or even more depending on the quality. Jumbei are pretty cheap and I have a set I got in Harajuku and it was like 30 dollars or so. They are really like Pajamas though, they are worn by teens and older guys sometimes. They are a LOT cooler than wearing yukata particularly because with some, it feels like you aren't wearing a lot at all. rofl
