"Did you have to open that thing again?!" Ragen grabbed him by the arm, watching as the demon-or whatever it is- was sucked into the soulstorm. The portal wasn't going to close until Wolfe was put away from it so Ragen decided to act quickly.
Fluffy and Chesna rushed to her side and a quick second later, with a bright flash of Light, Ragen had portaled them to a glade with a cabin and a large, ancient tree. There was a shining sphere of light domed over the glade, high enough for the dragons to practice their flight.
Once out of the portal, Ragen stumbled, swaying a bit from the strain of portalling so many, and especially teh dragons as her powers drained a good bit.
"...There." She sighed, bending over and holding her knees while she breathed heavily. "I don't know about you, Mr. Nap for ten years, but I need a rest. They can't follow or trace us here. We'll be able to rest up safely."

Wolf collapsed on the ground, determined not to throw up. *i've only been up for a couple hours and i've seen more disaster than most would in one life time! I'm Too old for this!*
The air was fresh. A nice change from the sulfur and smoke. The serene view of the glade was almost peaceful. "You can almost forget that the world is ending."
"if we are safe here then we wont be for long. The lost wood was suppose to be inaccessible, yet it was completely corrupted. We have some time but we need to figure out what the next move is. And since my portal ability is all but fried, its up to you to zap us places."
"Ive been gone for ten years, So its best this way, You know whats going on where, so for now ill follow your lead."

Ragen dropped to the ground, resting in the soft grass and shook her head at Wolfe, looking tired. "No, it's impenetrable. That dome you see overhead?" She pointed up. "It's a circle that goes just as deep under ground. I made it deliberately. Nothing can get through unless I get killed." Her eyes half closed and she looked away, trying to mask a sudden wave of sadness that came over her.
"I didn't do it alone and the one that helped me was much more powerful than I ever will be." She cleared her throat and shook her hair out of her eyes.
She let her head fall back, swallowing hard before standing and offering Wolfe a hand to help him up. She lead him to the cabin where she set a table with some food and water while Fluffy and Chesna stretched out in the sun outside to sleep.
Ragen turned to the stove and started chopping vegetables, throwing them into a pot to make a stew. "You're probably hungry. I'll let this cook while I catch you up on what you've missed." After she finished preparing, and setting the stew over her wood stove to cook, Ragen joined Wolfe at the table and sipped at her water.
"After you disappeared, I got into a fight with a lot of the group. I thought they'd betrayed you back then and I was freaking out because I didn't know what I was going to do without you around. You know me." she cringed and grinned bashfully. "Fluffy had taken off with Chesna before you left, so I decided I'd go looking for them instead of sticking around with your friends who couldn't stand me." She shrugged and looked at the water in her cup, flicking an imaginary speck off the rim.
"Things were quiet for a while, maybe the first three years...normal, as if there was nothing like darkies or titans or chaos...just normal people with normal lives...I just happened to have an element and I just happened to be searching for dragons..." She sighed and stood to stir the stew, keeping her back to him.
"I made a few new friends, but also some enemies, mainly the politicians because there are, as you know, some laws that pretty much screw the lower class over and I saved some people from tight scrapes. Thats when I noticed things were getting worse. Slowly, subtly...but it was happening." She turned, but remained standing.
"The darker elementals were growing bolder, and the light elementals pettier, and I was being followed by this idiot that I couldn't get rid of. He was always trying to help me or just keep me company and talk...Drove me insane...Then it turned out he had wings. Well, one wing. The other had been broken off." She shook her head and pinched her nose between two fingers.

Wolf sat at the table exhausted, as she started to cook. *I cant remember the last time i ate. Which is likely longer than ten years.* He sat and listened as she told him what had happened since he went into his long slumber. The longer he listened, the more the could not help but think he should never had gone to sleep at all.
And then she started talking about a boy. "Whoa-ho look at that, Ragen managed to get herself a boyfriend!" Wolf could not help but smirk as he began teasing. "What would Darkstorm think!"
"Stealing some poor saps heart. The boy had no idea what to expect. He must have loved you, i mean, he put up with Fluffy's smell." "I heard that human, and i do not smell." fluffy yelled from outside.

Ragen glared at her friend from over her shoulder, "Yeah, well...Darkstorm hasn't been around since that time we were all together and he saved me from whatever it was in the catacombs. He won't let me find him, and i've given up wanting to. As for the other one, he followed me from a year after you slept until about a year and a half ago." She took two bowls form the cupboard.
"...And yeah, he did love me." She cleared her throat again and decided to change the subject. "Anyway, things kept getting worse, and after I found fluffy and Chesna, our little group decided to do what we could to protect anybody that needed us, fought for the freedom of the people and kept htem safe as best we could. About three years ago I decided things were too bad for all of us, and I was getting exhausted, even with my little improvement of power, that's another story entirely, but explains the tattoos...so I started searching for you." She set a full bowl of stew down in front of him and refilled his water before setting her own bowl down and rejoining him.
"I've been told I'm a pretty good cook, and I made plenty, so eat whatever you want." She smiled and took a bite. "Anyway, I was able to track you down until the last step, and that was just getting to where you were kept and figuring out how to free you, which is what made me find Wilt. I was borrowing some books from the great library and started a ruckus." She laughed and sat back, taking another spoon of stew.

Wolf began eating his stew, It was not bad to him. But he had not eaten anything in over ten years so anything would have been good. "Wilt, yes i have a few questions for him. If what you say is true, then he should have woken me up years ago. After all, the reason i went under in the first place was to try to prevent this."
Wolf took another spoonful before continuing. "First things first, The lost wood was corrupted. That is not suppose to be possible. Its not even a part of this dimension. and yet what i woke up to its like the whole plane of existence had died. And he did not know until you came looking." He drank some water.
"Then there is the fact that Lexy is dead. I do not know how, but i do know that she would not have let things get this out of control. even if she was mad. Wilt has much to answer for." He took a deep breath. "As far as the falling out goes between you and the group, do not feel bad, Calling us a group was a stretch. Out of all of them, Aven was the only one that you could consider liked my company. We were pulled together out of a common cause, and that full filled, it was only a matter of time before we separated." he sat back in his chair and sighed.
"Besides, when i left, we had reached a boiling point. And apparently i was the source. We had it wrong. If i was the source then things should have gotten better, not worse. So i can only come to the conclusion that something else is going on. Its not like lexy to make mistakes, ever. And the fact that she did just goes to show how wrong things have seemed to have gotten."
Wolf pondered for a moment, staring into the stew. then said "Knowing her, She is still around somewhere in some crook of the world. She was not one to be killed easily even in madness. Lets hope she is not truly dead, If she is, we will have to find a new time chronicler."
