"Why would I lie about something like that ?" He said, unsure weither he should be puzzled or upset by such an accusation. Finally bothering to slide into sitting on the floor, he tugged on each of his gloves until they pulled off. There were scars - round ones, almost like needles - but most importantly, the patches of fake skin that had thorn off when he had punched his way out of the pool at Caoihme's party were not yet mended - and, indeed, the missing patches revealed glimmering silver. It was weird, he never really showed anyone else those things. But somehow, it was easy to trust Zaoll.
Kind of like if they'd went to hell and back. Even though it had been a dream. And, oddly, she was the one fa'e, somehow, that seemed closest to what he was, being stone. Could she feel touch at all, unlike him ?
He pulled his own laptop in turn, lifting the screen... but yet it seemed to boot up without him touching the power button at all. Not come back from sleep, either - actually boot up. Maybe if he could figure what kind of language she spoke... Though, the last words did it. "Wrath. Yeah, I have it... I play a paladin."

Zaoll stared, adjusting her glasses for like the fifth time since Sei had walked in as if sure they were lying to her. Aha, so the metal was beneath the skin, she thought, and she half-reached out so she could touch it. But it wouldn't matter either way; she could feel temperature, and pressure, but not texture. All she'd glean from that was whether the metal that made up the layer under his skin was hot, or warm like a human's, or pleasantly cool like her own marble self.
"What happened," she asked after this contemplation, hands moving to make a surreptitious cross with her index fingers: a sign to ward off whatever evil had caused those gashes in Sei's hands. "If you don't want to say, that's fine, but I am very good at keeping secrets." She was. In fact, she literally couldn't divulge them, but that wasn't a fact she wanted to advertise.
His computer seemed rather odd. Didn't you normally have to hit a button to turn them on? (She knew you did.) But maybe it was just a Gaia weirdness... or, looking at the metal in his hands, a Sei weirdness. Zaoll would watch and wait. She smiled cheerfully and said "We shall have to play together sometime, if we are on the same server. I play a priestess."

"Wound up into some trouble." He was good at that... and he did not especially want to bother with the details. "Had to punch my way out of it."
Literally.
He did no movement to stop her from reaching in, and try to touch - he did not mind. If she did touch, though, he would feel cool to the touch, even though the skin.
"Yeah, that would be nice... I am on Daggerspine at the moment. I mostly tank. Heal a little, but im not very good at it."

She nodded, and when he didn't move she did touch the exposed metal. His skin was just as cool as hers, though hers reflected the air temperature around her and his - well, she couldn't say. After all, she wasn't Sei, and she didn't want to pry that much. "I will keep it a secret," she said, poking some keys in her hopeless battle against the Goth hordes.
"Eh," said Zaoll, somewhat disappointed. "I play on Misha - mostly I heal. Are you Alliance or Horde?"

"Horde, though I do have an alliance druid I do play when my guild gets on my nerves." He pondered it, for a moment. "I could transfer her... ?" He did not know which side Zaoll played on, but a faction change wasn't out of the question either.
His focus returned on the laptop, and suddenly, the browser opened, though... Sei's hand were nowhere near the keyboard, and there was no mouse. In fact, his right was still outstretched, resting in Zaoll's reach, and the other was folded neatly in his lap.

She nodded. "I play Alliance," she said, which was all she really cared to say; her throat was starting to hurt a little when she talked, so she didn't say much more. From her earlier comments, she figured he could conclude that she'd like to play with someone from this new world. If not, she'd articulate.
After once again getting her armies decimated by the illogical tanks, she looked over to Sei's screen. The browser popped up - not altogether weird, and she almost brushed it off, but then she noticed his hands were nowhere near the computer. "How," she demanded, "did you do that?" Was it some kind of switch in his hand? She grabbed his hand and flipped it over, her lips pursed as she looked for some kind of button. But there was nothing - she looked suspiciously at the other hand, but didn't want to be so rude as to grab at that one, too.

Okay, this was a little amusing, he had to admit. She was peering at his hand as if to find some magic trick to it, and he held up it's twin in answer. Though, how much did Zaoll knew about fa'e... ?
"Well... There are probably some things you can do that no one else around you can do, yes ? Special powers ? Well, that's one of mine. If there's a machine, I can control it just by looking at it. Though, it works best with computers..."

"Eh," said Zaoll, but it wasn't a sound of indifference nor punctuation, both of which seemed to be her normal usage of it, but rather of discovery. Her entire face lit up as another puzzle piece of what exactly being "fa'e" was fell into place. "Si," she added. "I would share -" she caught the oncoming mistake and changed it, "show you, but there is nothing to show." She hoped her meaning got across - she didn't have the materials to reciprocate what she took as a great confidence, but she would one day.
At least it definitely meant he might be able to do something if she hadn't totally corrupted her game file. And it was pretty cool, that he could do something actually useful - she smiled.

"It's fine." The blonde answered, working a reassuring smile on his face. She had not grown in gaia, so perhaps... she just had not figured herself out yet, unlike he.
He wanted to say, however, that not all knowledge was kind... but it seemed no use to scare her. Not so soon after coming here, after all.
"Ah, there, look.... He flipped his laptop around for her to read. "It's a bug, they say so here. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game should fix it.

She didn't think he had quite understood her, but it wasn't worth explaining at the moment. One day, she'd show him - but only if she could find some stone. Marble. It'd be nice to have something solid and safe under her feet again. Carpet and wood was nice, but it was dangerous, too. If it got old, she might fall through.
"So I will lose my file," summarized Zaoll, but she was opening up her program preferences window all the same. The only campaign she really cared about was the Roman one. But still... Che barba! How annoying! Her free hand was tracing a circle in midair, a subconscious gesture it seemed; she didn't seem aware of it. Once her game was started on its uninstall process, she looked back up to Sei and adjusted her glasses. "Grazie." Remembering her English, she translated, "Thank you."

"It's no problem. Here." He pulled one cd out of his sleeved case. "I've got it right there, if you want to reinstall right now."

"Grazie!" Zaoll actually spoke loud enough to qualify as an indoor voice this time. It was kind of ridiculous how happy the loan of an installation CD made her. "I suppose it might have got corrupt when Elsbeth" her face crinkled and she looked very displeased at the thought of her guardian "brought it here from Earth."
She kind of missed Earth. She slipped the installation disk into the drive and started to load it. "Sei, do you have - eh - a mobile?" It seemed clear she'd had to struggle for that word, but was still uncertain as to whether she'd pulled out the right one.

"A cellphone ? Yeah." He had a shiny new one, even, since his old one died an horrible, watery death in the pool.... But that was a story he did not want to bore Zaoll with.
