So, Pacific Northwest History is required to graduate. Even if you came in from another state during highschool, you can't graduate without take Pacific NW History. Should this course be required to graduate? I think it's a good course, but not taking it shouldn't keep you from graduating.

I think it should depend on how late you came in. Junior or Senior year becomes tight scheduled for some, so it seems a little unfair. Or like, if you took a class at your last school that would be the equivalent for the area you were in.
Also, I took that class in middle school so I did not have to take it in high school, but it's not as if I can remember everything I've learned. But since up through high school is pretty much common sense knowledge and we do live in the Pacific Northwest, it's good to know about where you live.
Basically, I think students should take it. Like, the CWI course we have to take senior year. It certainly beats wasting time with the WASL. The only exception should be, in my opinion, as I mentioned earlier.

I don't even think my school HAS that class, which is dissapointing, because I find Washington State History absolutely fascinating and would really like to take it in high school. (especially if it meant I didn't have to take economics. confused )
Yeah, the whole "transferred in" thing should probably have some sort of limit. I wouldn't want to transfer to Washington State as a senior and have to try and take the class on top of the Senior project and everything else.

I thought it was ******** stupid. Although, the first.. few months of school we learned about WA / Pac rim, and the rest of the year we learned about current events and the history behind them.
The Washington State history stuff is s**t, but I loved my class.

I actually enjoyed this class. It could get boring as hell at times, but a lot of the stuff in there was really interesting. I mean, I grew up here, and it's cool to know the history of my home.
