When anyone thinks evil...  Though I absolutely love the idea of the posting snippits of stories/poems on the from page for people to see sample works. (And I am super happy you choose Children of Fire to be one of them) I would Like to suggest that the Creators of the stories/poems(unless no longer with us.) are the ones to post the stories, and are then locked. It makes me feel more secure as an author knowing that my piece was posted by my own account.
Once again Thank you Zoje for choosing 'Children of Fire' for the front page. ^^

When anyone thinks evil... Also, I would like to offer my services to make some new banners and such for the front page. I took a few years of graphic design and such, and would love to help in anyway I could....They think Ri-Ri.

I don't think Zoje's intentions were to make anyone uncomfortable. She reorganized everything a few weeks back to release clutter, but wanted to keep some writings on the front page for possible new members to see.
You may notice that there is a variety there - poem, song, scary story, adventure story, etc...
Zoje wasn't trying to offend anyone, upset anyone, or make anyone uncomfortable. If you were concerned you probably should have PMed her. And I don't believe there will ever be anymore stories posted there, unless Zoje decides to update with new stories. They were just to be examples.

When anyone thinks evil... Oh I was in no way shape or form offended, or anything of the sorts. I just thought it would be better if like I said the creators of the topics were to post them. It doesn't bug me at all that they are there.
I think you may have perhaps misread what I posted. ^^;;
EDIT- And now that I reread what you wrote, I see I misread some of that as well. I posted when I had first woken up so my mind wasn't all there with me. sweatdrop ...They think Ri-Ri.
