In order to gain a Rank in the Mercenary League you must take part in an arena type or battle roleplay. A minimum of five posts in the Roleplay Haven is required, unless a special test is provided. All roleplayers will be given a non-biased dynamic ranking, meaning their ranking can go up and down as their roleplaying skill does.

ALPHA
Alpha role-players are the elite. To be an Alpha-roleplayer one must have not only mastered basic writing skills. They must demonstrate logical creativity in their powers, and be proficiently knowledgeable roleplay that is both logical and fair. Alpha-roleplayers will always try to follow guidelines for fair role-play, and will fight honorably. They are among the best of the best in literacy, writing ability, and creativity.

BRAVO
Anyone listed in this rank is a solid writer and role-player, but with enough rough edges to be considered Bravo status. This rank includes developing young writers on their way to Alpha status, good writers who are inexperienced role-players, and good role-players who need a small amount of polish in their writing skills. Bravo role-players try to maintain decent conduct and make the experience fun for everyone.

Charlie role-players are people with potential despite major flaws in their abilities to write and / or sustain a smooth flowing role-play. A common flaw for Charlie-Roleplayers is writing mechanics that make their work hard to read. Charlie role-players are sometimes good fighters, but usually never good at story-lines or plot development. Over use of OOC in role-play threads and flooding of threads with one-liners and unnecessary information is also common. Charlie-roleplayers, despite their flaws, usually have much potential, even if it may be limited to a specific type of role-play by their own choice or limitations.

DELTA
This is a class of role-player who are usually completely new to the concept of role-play. Most in this class are very young and have severe difficulty maintaining a level of writing proficiency that would make reading their work enjoyable. All the problems of the Delta class are present to the extreme in most cases, and a general ignorance of the rules makes role-playing difficult. Delta classes are people who misunderstand the concept of role-play and have much work to do to develop. Despite this, they sometimes have potential to do much better.

ECHO
Echo roleplayers are the worst of the worst. Their incompetence in roleplaying leaves them to be illiterate with no drive towards becoming a better roleplayer for a successful roleplay. The most compelling reason to be ranked echo is not based in a writer's inability to RP, but a lack of desire to even try and improve from where they are. An Alpha-rankable RPer who godmodes and breaks the rules constantly can be classified as Echo because they are refusing to RP decently. Such behavior is not tolerated in the Roleplay Haven. As such, Echo Roleplayers are not allowed to post in the Roleplay Haven or in any other RPs affiliated with the League, to include Revres, and are also not permitted to take on RP missions, regardless of other qualifications.
