I'm not sure if I'm putting this in the right place but I figured this was a good enough place as any.
I watch a lot of movies all the time so I thought it'd be a fun idea to have each month with a different movie genre theme. It's just an idea but I think it'll be fun if even just a few of us decide to do participate each month.
It's October and in honor of everyone's favorite spooky month, I figured that we (as a movie related guild) could have a scary/horror movie month-long marathon. This includes old classics to new releases. If it's in the horror/scary movie genres, then it's a good time to watch it.
Post below about the movie you are watching and what you think of it. Movie recommendations are very welcome, too. Please tell me what you think of this idea and what you'd like to do for November.

i'm cool with that.
actually, i was just on another site discussing horror movies, so the last thing i watched was a clip from "mum and dad" which is a terrible movie that i do NOT recommend. anyways, i would certainly recommend "nightmare on elm street" but i know everyone else in the world is thinking the same thing cuz it's a fantastic movie, haha. or the old halloween (cuz i LOVE those!)
but yeah, as for november, since people always gather with family members and all for thanksgiving, why not have family related films for that month? or is that too much of a christmas-sy theme?

Evil Dead 1 & 2 are great "Horror" films. =3 I think Army Of Darkness is more of a comedy though. I'd recommend Evil Dead 2....Since it's my favorite. <3
I thought that December would be better for Family films, too. More family films come out in December. =3
*has been thinking about this most of the day* maybe Mystery/Suspense? I dunno.

I bought "A Nightmare On Elm Street" boxset. I was watching the first one today and noticed that Nancy was watching "The Evil Dead" to keep herself awake. =D So made my day. I know that in "Evil Dead 2" Freddy's glove is hanging on the wall in the shed...so that's cool. =3
*huggles Evil Dead movie references* Just another chance to feed my cravings for Bruce. <3

I enjoyed a few newer movies this year. One being "Trick R Treat". It was a horror that was based on the beliefs of Halloween. If you loved and believed the 'rituals' of Halloween, you lived; if you didn't and could care less about the holiday, you died. It was also based around a story of a school bus of 'slow' kids that was murdered in a lake. However, the movie had a funny side to it as well. So it was one of those funny horrors. wink
