The Dark Lord frowned.

"What I do with souls in my possession is none of your concern. Suffice it to say that what I require is what I require and no substitute will be accepted. If you must, ask your goddess for permission. I require only a small piece of your spirit. But that is my demand."

He pauses for a moment as his voice assumes a more sinister tone. "This battle, as it was fought, was only to serve as a test of your strength. You passed, this much is certain, but you should realise that the purpose of this battle was not to destroy you. If it was, you would have been destroyed. Do not underestimate my capacity for destruction... yield a piece of your spirit to me, or watch helplessly as I rip it from your body in its entirety!"

((Survive this final attack, and we'll call it a tie/draw. mrgreen ))

With the explosion of the orb, the Dark Sorceror frowned one final time, and responded in turn, by exploding himself. The great giant head shattered in a blinding display of violet, the flames saturating the world around the Dark Lord and the Nova Knight, enough to cause pain so severe that the Knight's mind might very well destroy itself just to stop the unfathomable agony. There was little-to-no force behind this explosion; it was simply the violet flames encompassing such a huge area; a twenty mile radius, to be exact. As for the Dark Lord, he apparently sacrificed himself to create the explosion, though such an action seemed wildly out-of-character for him. Diez no doubt had some trick up his sleeve, but for the moment, he was gone from the battlefield. Should the Knight survive this final attack, he would walk away from the battlefield without further resistance...

As the Goddess and her servant warped back to their fortress, a figure appears from thin air, dressed in a hooded black cloak. His features are hidden entirely beneath his dark robes, but his presence is unmistakably dark. He raises a single, clawlike hand into the air, as if to beckon an unseen figure to come to him. Sure enough, dark, violet flames seem to form from thin air and come to his hand. The figure laughs a low laugh as he reaches his hands into the flames, and pulls out what appears to be a glowing, morphous white orb.

The Dark Lord was pleasantly surprised. He had originally intended to burn off just enough of Rasarai's soul with the violet flames to form a small piece of it from the ashes, which he would then claim for himself. But the seals placed upon his soul prevented his flames from getting through to the soul of Rasarai himself. But this was not to say that all was for nothing... for Diez had actually gotten more out of this deal than he bargained for. The soulfire had burned off small fragments of the Goddess's seal, and contained them. What Diez now held in his hand was a small sampling of the power of the Goddess Herself. Laughing his most wicked laugh, he vanishes without even so much as a poof, taking the divine power with him. Today was fortunate indeed...

((Heh. Well, Diez, being a sorceror, is constantly looking for newer, more powerful and more versatile forms of magical energy to fool around with. Everything he discovers (Nega, the Soulfire, etc.) is incorporated into future battles whenever he may need it. He is currently in the midst of seeing if any sort of useful energy can be drawn from human souls, but he will likely have lots of fun experimenting with the Goddess's power, as well.

Now, for my opinions. This is simply what I think, so do not take it personally.

First the bad...

Your character seems a bit too DBZ-ish. It could just be a coincidence, but the flaming aura, ridiculous speed, giant beams of uberdoom, and whatnot seem to make a bit too many parallels.

I realize our battle was meant to be unrealistic, and was a bit of a tier-breacher. But travelling at the speed of light in anything other than god-mod battles is a definite no-no. Hell, the speed of sound would be heavily frowned-upon.

Science nerds would have a field day with you. Do you know that heating up to the temperatures that you did could set the very atmosphere of the earth on fire and bring an end to all life as we know it? Travelling at the speed of light, I'm sure, would also raise quite a few eyebrows, but I can't really dissect that sort of thing as I'm not much of a science nerd myself. Just a fair warning.

You seem too content with trying to overwhelm your opponent with sheer brute force than actually trumping them with skill. But this could simply be seen as an aspect of your character, so that can't really be listed as a complaint. Just an observation.

Now, for the good...

You did a good job of staying in-character. You are an angry, angry little man. xp

Once you stopped trying to out-mage the mage, and started incorporating a little strategy into your game, you were a much better opponent.

I like how you've incorporated gravity into your character's playing style, as well as fire, to make the 'star effect' feel more complete.

Overall, you are a fairly competent duelist with a few things you need to work on. Just like most everyone else. sweatdrop It looks like the bad outnumbers the good, but really, I just felt the need to elaborate on the criticism more because... well... the good points, you already have down. Good work. 3nodding ))

((Thanks for the list of critiques. I will endeavor to fix the problems. I already know what would really happen if a super nova showed up on Earth. Lets just say the first nanosecond of its existance on Earth or in this part of the universe would vaporise everything. But hey its RP not science class lol but thanx for that.

The DBZ thing...yea i kinda realized that, also I will not use light speed ever again. I realized that is too godly so i will rephrase my words and that. As for the DBZ thing, well he is Nova Knight, I can't think of another way to use flame in such a cool way lol.

And good observation on the brute force thing. LOL thats my character in a nutshell. He gets angry and he destroys things using power instead of technique. He only starts doing that when the fight gets pretty serious. Like ours...he tended to think logically after a while lol. But just for side trivia Rasarai means "Rage" in german so that part is definately in the character.

But thanks for the helpful notes. I will endeavor to become a better RPer. I still liked the battle no matter how unrealistic it was lol. In this guild this is the only place I think you can do that sorta thing. But thanks anyway rofl ))
