Destiny was beginning to tire out... speeding down the hills, just to trudge upward again... Even for an elf, this was a hard work-out. She glanced at the little speck of fluttering wings ahead of her... She didn't seem that tired... maybe she's just hiding it... or -
They came upon the hugest hill yet, towing over them so much that the grassy hump blocked the sun. Since Altissa was flying, she probably had no trouble inclining her angle and speeding upward, but for Destiny, it was the steepest hill yet, and it was tiring her out even faster. Destiny lowered onto her hands, like an animal, and began to crawl, gripping onto the grass. Sweat started to drip down into her eyes from her hair, but she had no time to wipe it away for fear of losing her grip.
Altissa was so much ahead of her...she had to slow her down or she wouldn't make it up.
" Hey! Faye! Slow down, daggit! We can't make it to the forest without a break, its two hours away! Lets stop at the top of the hill" Destiny gasped and inhaled quickly, she was more tired than she thought. " We can see the forest from there probably, so we can plan what to do!" She began to speed up, almost there!

Altissa turned around in mid-flight after screaming was heard. She could barely make it out, but she understood the word break and gave a mischevious grin. She retreated back the way she came, fluttered down next to the elf's shoulder and decided not to fly off by herself anymore. She saw the rips and such in her clothing from sliding down hills, most of the filth gained from that incredibly steep one. "Allriiightt... Only because I like you." She said, giggling, jutting around the elf like a fairy.

(( Yes...Yes it is... a tad light for me to read, if I do say so...i had to highlight to read...but thats ok 3nodding ))
A smirk appeared on Destiny's face, " Well, aren't we a little cocky... Your small enough that its easy for you, but here I am giving - a - RIDE!" at each pause she dug her hands so deep into the hill that dirt flew out and at the last word she yelled, she leaped up with a pull and a kick to the anix of the hill. Destiny let herself flop on the grassy peak as she landed, stomach down. She remained there for a while, breathing hard, trying to catch her breath. She slowly looked up and looked down the horizon that spread before them at the highest point of the field...
She intook breath sharply...
"Its worse than we feared..."
((I can't think of the right participle...intook sounds dumb! gonk ))

The fairy watched with silence, knowing it would not be very wise to say anything else. Her eyes had met the terrain ahead before Destiny's had, being airborne.
The vortex of purple swirled in giant lapses of mist across the land, stretching outward in a curling grip across the field yonder only a couple miles away. Before long they would meet the dangerous evil, and they had to be prepared for it. Sighing, her wings faded and stopped buzzing, very lightly as she sat on the ground. Turning to a child-like size, she crossed her legs and looked out at the depressing sight.

(( Inhailed...jeeze I sound smart... "INTOOK!" sweatdrop rolleyes redface ))
As Destiny sat up, she watched with eyebrows raised as the little fairy grew to a childlike size. She looked back to the nightmarish sight, and reached up to scratch her head, her eyes closed. " Ok...what are we going to do? How are we going to avoid being transformed into some ghoulish thing?" She said, casually as ever, " Hold our breath, cast a barrier, or can we avoid this by holding our breath?"
She probably sounded naive, but her mind was a total blank.

"Uhhm..." Her expression grew vacant. "You know what? I didn't plan out this far." She laughed uneasily. "But I'm sure we'll make it through somehow." She stared ot at the poisonous looking mist and sighed, her head hanging slightly as she determind herself to think harder.

Destiny cursed to herself. They had think of something really soon, and yet both of them were at a total blank. Destiny squinched her eyes as she leaned forward, squeezing her head between her hands. Come on, think! Of all times....In Times of thy most extreme odds,

One combines magic with two. Her eyes gaped wide suddenly; she remembered something she read long ago in a library now forgotten. Usually, magic alone suffices in unusual situations. But in times like this, magic that's combined with another will allow the rend the most impossible situations instantly easier. She slowly sat up straight. Its not that we have to make seperate barriers or seperate spells for ourselves, if we combine magic in the right way...it would work! Destiny, grinning from ear to ear, turned to Altissa and relayed all she thought about to her.

"So you think if we..." She said slowly, "Hm." She looked out to the area that was taken over once more. If they combined their power.. all of it, they would definantly be more powerfull. "But how? How will we do such a thing?" She said, "Normally, no one can fuse their powers together unless they have some sort of instrument of power to do so. Or know of someone incredibly powerfull... that they can do the ritual." She looked around. "We would have to leave and come back." Altissa sighed, not beleiving she could bear leaving the place that was in threat of being completely absorbed by evil.

Destiny looked at Altissa's downcasted face. " I understand how you're feeling, trully I do. " She leaned over and patted Altissa on the sholder, " But there is nothig else we can do. If we run head- first into danger, we will be consumed as well. I guess we will have to leave." She stood up and brushed herself off," Its the only thing we can do, but...." She glanced at the rustling grass around her " It...just feels like a waste of time running here. I don't know..."

"It was not a waste, we truely know what we are up against." She sighed out, truely bummed out at the moment, "Come on. Maybe we can find someone that will help us." Her wings burst to life, and in a sparkle of magic, she writhed back and turned into her tiny thumbnail size. She flitted up into the air and silently flew onto Destiny's shoulder.

Destiny turned and trudged down the hill, an overbearingly ominous feeling welling up inside her chest. She felt like she was turning her back on a mortal enemy, and that any second, it would leap up and consume her...
She continued on pensievly...
((You know...we SERIOUSLY need new members...this isn't gonna go ANYWHERE if we don't.))
