And I'm thinking maybe... just maybe it has something to do with the wire being almost all the way chewed through.
This is why I normally wrap the wire around it and put it where the cats won't likely be able to get to it. I do that with headphones and game controllers too. But then I forget to put my mic away and my mom ends up putting it in the basket next to my desk with the wire hanging out.
