Captain John 'Kurisutofa' - John Cochrane, Naval Commander.
Married: Emma Wellesly - Neice of Lord Wellington (General Wellington -Contenential Wars of 1789-1815)
Offspring: Thomas Cochrane, Kitty Cochrane & Page Cochrane
Note of Worth: Thomas was not of Emma's birthing. Thomas Cochrane is said to of arrived at the Cochrane Family home in Bristol from Portsmouth at 4 years of age. Reason being that when his fathers looks and characteristics began to show, the boys mother was afraid that her husband would grow angry. Thus his mother Marie sent young Thomas Cochrane to live with his father (rumoured to of been a pirate) at his home in Bristol. His conceivement is said to have been the result of a notorious bachelor party.

Thomas R. Cochrane - Miller, Smith, Cochrane & Co. (Cochrane & Co.) Accounting Firm
Married: Mary Miller (Miller Family - Miller Mining Co. of Norfolk)
Offspring: Sidney Cochrane - Named after Sir William Sidney Smith of Royal Navy Fame.

Sidney S. Cochrane - Lord Admiral & Knight of the Grand Order of Procca (Self Appointed)

Having grown up in Bristol, England hearing tales of his Grandfather's courageous acts of piracy & seagoing antics, Sidney entered the Royal Navy in 1827. Enlisted as a Midshipman aboard His Majesty's Air-Ship 'Royal George', he served in a number of engagements under Captains that had both served with and chased after his grandfather.

After a controversy aboard the 'Nymph' that resulted in a courts martial and costing Sidney his career, he decided to pursue his dreams. Bristol seemed so dull in comparison to what he'd heard of what lay over the Western Horizon, that he decided to strike out and retrace the footsteps that his grandfather, Captain 'Lucky Jack' Kurisutofa, had left behind.

Once he came to Provoka, it was in shambles. All that remained had been skeletons of a once glorious nation of pirates. After some convincing that as Kurisutofa's grandson, he had certain birth rights to the islands leadership, he rebuilt the city as he'd always imagined it - in the victorian style, but large, gaudy and slightly fantastical.. oddly fairy tale like.

After having done so, he begun work on the islands once glorious naval fleet. Appointing himself as Admiral of the Non-Existant Fleet, he realised that it would be difficult to be Admiral of something that did not in fact exist. So, never being one to except failure, he named himself Lord of the Island. Then to make a point, he knighted himself - single handedly creating the Grand Order of Procca - the Islands Highest Honour.

Now days, Cochrane, ever his own promoter, owns and operates the one man business 'AeroNauticalia & Co. ~ Hired Privateer: "You Tag Em, We Bag 'Em"'. Having sold off a number of the unused outlying islands to forgein powers - Britain, France, Spain, Germany, America, Russia & Japan - Cochrane had built a decent sized nest egg. It bettered with the agreement that America could have exclusive trading rights with the Provokan Trade Council (headed by himself) and in exchange the Colonies would purchase for him, His Majesties Retired Air-Ship 'Aurora Borealis' of 74 Guns. Delivered fully refurbished and remodeled for luxury. The 'Aurora' sits upon it's newly constructed airfield at Flint's Bluff - the former site of his grandfathers homestead.

Name: Dr. Reginald Baxter III
Rank: How does one have a rank when he's not even aboard yet? He has recieved several invitation to Provoka, but does not know where it is
Age: 42
Location of Embarkment: Portsmouth, England
Reason for Joining: Love of open air and the sea, some would say he is running away from his life
Specialty: Physician
Subjects in which you need tutorage: How to accept the mantle and responsibilities of ones family and be a proper and upstanding English Businessman, knows nothing of ships but feels he will catch on quickly, does not understand why.
Personal Bio: Appearance: Reginald is typically dressed in fineries that make him stand out in a crowd. He always wears warm colours, typically browns. The cane he walks with is more for show than actual need. It has also been said that he is a skilled fighter, and rumours have spread that the cane is used as a means of self-defense in the absence of a more fitting weapon. His hat is one of a kind and always the subject of envy in Reginald's social circles. He is seldom seen without it. Why he carries the rosary beads of a long forgotten religion is unknown; it is not a subject that he will openly discuss.

History: Reginald's grandfather, Dr. Reginald Baxter was a British citizen. He was noted to be one of London's top surgeons. He led what seamed a simple life. He was married to a beautiful woman, and was quickly becoming a prominent figure in London. It is rumoured that he served the King himself. Such details of that were lost, unfortunately. What is known that at some time, the good doctor turned pirate; why he betrayed the crown is unknown. He sailed with the infamous Captain Kurisutofa. While he was modest at all times, his adventures in piracy made him a man of wealth. He entrusted all of his worldly possessions to his wife in England after he learned that he had indeed fathered a son before he defected. After that, Dr. Baxter disappeared. He was never seen nor heard from again.

Reginald Baxter Jr. attended the finest schools in his youth. He grew to become an exceedingly intelligent man. His mother, Maria, died when he was 17. Her will entrusted everything she had to him. He never knew of his father, or the money that had been entrusted to his mother until that day. With her will was a letter she left him explaining everything she knew of his father, Reginald, and the wealth he had left to both of them. Reginald invested the riches of his father prudently. He became a business tycoon helping to fund new businesses and social projects everywhere. Due to his support, much of the world around him began to modernize and develop at a somewhat accelerated rate. He seemed to have an eye for spotting solid investments and business ventures because the money he donated and invested in projects usually increased his wealth by three-fold his investment. He married at 34, to a young woman named Mary. A year later, they had a daughter, she was born prematurely and died 4 months later. A year afterward a son was born, he was named Reginald Baxter, III. He wanted for nothing during his childhood, and his father saw that he had the same strict structure of schooling.

Young Reginald did not have his father's talent for business and investing, and he was a disappointment to his father for many years. When he finally found his calling in medicine, he was 23. He learned the skills of healing incredibly fast; almost as if being a physician was second nature to him. Reginald Jr. finally accepted and admitted pride in his son. It was never said, but he looked at his son and dreamed that perhaps his father was much the same.

Reginald Baxter, III now lives his life. He travels frequently, he carries the wealth of his family with him, He calls Portsmouth of England home. He doesn't understand why, but looking upon the ocean is always a calming sight to him. He loves the smell and sound of the sea.

So, there has been a bit of a mix up. Not having expected such a rush of newcomers, I'd not had the new introduction threads ready. This being said, you all must realize that there are two separate role-plays here: Sea Pirates & Air Privateers.

Please make sure that if you mean to play in both, that you post different characters in each of the corresponding subforums. Same Characters for both will not be accepted. Once again, please post your bio's in the correct subforum. Thank you.

For those of you who posted their Sea-Pirate Bio's here, please copy and paste them into the new Introduction thread that has just been created within the Lady Washington Subforum.

Cheers,
-~:Admiral Lord Cochrane:~-
