The Grand Gazebo is just that...a covered outdoor place for people to meet together. Rain or shine, it's the perfect getaway from classes and Dorm Room Drama.

{I can take you right now...}  ___________________________ -sєяєи∂ιpιτy- “Aaah,” the blond sighed, pulling herself up to sit on the gazebo’s railing; it was cliché, but comfortable as she leaned back against one of the carved beams that ran vertically towards the wooden structure’s roof.
“Best reading spot ever,” MaryAnne declared with a nod as she cracked open her old book and started the next chapter. The paper was smooth under her fingers as she turned the pages, tracing the lines of neat text as she read at some places.
Maybe it was minutes, perhaps hours that she sat there reading, but MaryAnne wasn’t quite finished with her novel when her stomach growled, protesting her hunger. The blond blushed with surprise and looked down at her abdomen.
“Really now?” She laughed, embarrassed as she talked to herself.
Swinging her legs off the railing, MaryAnne walked across the gazebo’s center and stepped down its steps onto the slate stepping stones that made up the pathways that lead to and away from it. She stretched, and then glanced around with a hint of paranoia. She thought.
No one was around. She could do it. MaryAnne shrugged off her coat and put down her book, carefully expanding her creamy, freckled wings out behind her, sighing happily. The limbs stretched as she had moments before and batted at the air; below them, she felt two sets of smaller, fledgling’s wings._____________{IN my silver ballet slippers}____________________________мαяyαηηε

{Living life alone.....}  The day was bright and sunny, a typical day where one would find Leon hiding in a secluded place drawing pictures in his notebook. Of course seeing how he had only just arrived here he had to find those secluded places. He quietly walked down a long stone path, taking in the occasional this and that. Every once in a while he would glance back to make sure Chip was still following him, in turn seeing Bonez keeping an eye on Chip from atop his backpack and Utashi enjoying the ride from his shoulder.
As he rounded a small bend he came upon a Gazebo. However, this was not the first thing that caught Leon’s eye. No instead it was a young girl, who looked to be about the same age as him. She quietly sat upon the railing reading a book. Leon blushed deeply as he caught himself staring at the girl. ”What am I doing?” He asked himself as he started to turn around and head the other direction. ”Wow Boss, I must say for someone who tries to avoid people you sure do have good taste in women.” , Chip commented, looking the girl over. ”I must admit she is quite attractive.” , Bonez added as he also looked at the girl.”Come on guys, she would just think I’m a freak. Let’s go before she sees me.”About that time the girl stepped out of the gazebo and stretched what looked to be angel wings. The same as Leon’s only she had two more sets. Filled with surprise Utashi began jumping up and down on Leon’s shoulder and Bonez quickly sat up. ”Master look! She has wings the same as you!” ”Hey, he’s right! You should go talk to her Boss. Who knows, maybe you aren’t a freak after all.” Filled with curiosity Leon slowly turned around to face the girl again. His eyes then widened as he saw her wings. ”No! They are not real! They can not be real! Even if they are real why would she be foolish enough to show them to the world?” With that Leon turned back around and started to walk back the way he came. ”But Master she’s just like you! You shouldn’t be running away from her. You should be talking to her!” Leon just ignored him, however, and kept walking. Chip, now a little frustrated, shook his head and ran off towards the girl. When he got close enough to her he picked up a few nuts and threw them at her, hitting her in the back of the head. He knew Leon was going to get mad at him, and he knew he was going to get in deep trouble for this, but even still it was the only way. It was the only way he was going to be able to get this girl and Leon to actually meet and talk to each other. Chip waited long enough for the girl to be able to turn around and see him before he turned around and ran off towards Leon. As he ran he hoped and prayed that the girl would follow after. {Loving life with friends}

{I can take you right now...} ___________________________ -sєяєи∂ιpιτy- The angel snapped her wings back in as pain sparked through her skull from the back of her head - once, twice, and a third time. The blond whirled and cried out, touching her hands to the spot the projectile had hit.
"What the--?!" MaryAnne snapped, grey-blue eyes finding the furry little creature who'd apparently hurled them at her. As her eyes rested on him and she realized what had happened, the squirrel darted away. "That little cretin! Hey -- come back!"
MaryAnne darted off after the rodent, forgetting her book and coat, eyes tracking its small, brown body and fluffy tail - an easy target.
It darted around the corner, following the pathway, a tall bush hiding the other side.
She followed.
And then there were the backs of some one's heels, and calves, full legs, a masculine back and the blond yelped, literally running full-force into the boy who'd seemingly appeared in front of her._____________{IN my silver ballet slippers}____________________________мαяyαηηε

{Living life alone..... } Leon slowly made his way down the stone path, but before he was even able to really get anywhere he felt something hit him from behind. Letting out a short surprised yell he quickly steadied himself from falling before turning around to see what had hit him. His mouth stood agape when he saw the culprit. A blond haired angel, the girl with wings, she was the one that had run into him, and she was the one that now stood before him. Leon could feel his face growing hot as he looked at her. “You um….I uh….” He could feel his hand begin to shake as he tried to speak, and his face grew even redder as nothing was coming out besides mumbled gibberish. Not sure what to do he turned and slowly started to walk away. Grunting with frustration Bonez shook his head and tapped Leon’s shoulder. “Master what you are doing!? She’s right there, just waiting for you to turn around and talk to her! Talk to her!”Chip then jumped up on his shoulder and looked back at the girl before looking at Leon. “Yeah Boss I didn’t throw nuts at the back of her head just to mumble and walk away.”“You did what!?” Leon stopped looking at the rodent. “I um…”“Chip you know how I feel about you going off on your own, and throwing nuts at girls no less!” “Yeah but she’s no ordinary girl she’s got wings like you.” “I DON’T CARE IF SHE HAS WINGS, AND I DON’T CARE IF SHE’S FOOLISH ENOUGH TO EVEN SHOW THEM! BUT THE FACT THAT SHE HAS THEM GIVES YOU NO REASON TO DISOBEY ME AND THROW NUTS AT HER!!!” Leon then instantly froze as he realized that he had just yelled all of that. He then turned and looked back at the girl to see if she had heard him. But of course she had, who didn’t hear him? { Loving life with friends}

{I can take you right now...} ___________________________ -sєяєи∂ιpιτy- The boy stammered and turned around and started to walk away. She gaped at his back in astonishment.
"You did what?!" He cried and she jumped, taking a moment to realize that he was speaking to the criminal she was after.
"Hey, is that your squirrel?!" She trailed after him, but was ignored as he continued talking; she realized the squirrel was actually talking back. If she wasn't an angel, it would have taken a little longer for her to process this, let alone believe it.
"I DON'T CARE IF SHE HAS WINGS, AND I DON'T CARE IF SHE'S FOOLISH ENOUGH TO EVEN SHOW THEM!" He hollered at the squirrel who'd said something about her not being an ordinary girl and having "wings like you."
"Foolish?! Excuse me!" MaryAnne snapped, offended; her wall fell at the newer emotion and a rush of four foreign emotions bombarded her, making her stumble slightly, eyes fluttering.
"Ah..." Her breath left her lungs in a whoosh as if she'd been hit in the chest, looking as if she were going to faint. _____________{IN my silver ballet slippers}____________________________мαяyαηηε

{Living life alone..... } Face completely red with embarrassment Leon looked at the blond. She had heard him. She had even commented back. He stood before her mouth agape. What was he supposed to do? What was he supposed to say? It was then that he felt something tap the side of his head. “Hey Boss it looks like she’s about to faint. You should do something.” Snapping out of his daze Leon looked at the squirrel on his shoulder. “Well maybe if you hadn’t thrown nuts at the back of her head. It’s probably also that fact that you’re talking!” “You know the fact that you’re talking back to me isn’t helping. Besides you did just yell out that she’s foolish!” “OH DON’T EVEN START WITH ME CHIP! IF YOU WOULD JUST DO WHAT I ASKED YOU….” But before he was able to finish Bonez jumped up on his other shoulder interrupting the two argue. “Master first of all you do realize you are arguing in front of a person. True she may be like you in the fact that she has wings but still she’s still human. Second, I think she’s about to faint.” “Bonez what have I said about talking you know what!? Wait she’s about to faint?” Leon then looked back at the girl. She really did look as if she was about to faint. “Uh….um are you…..okay?” { Loving life with friends}

{I can take you right now...} ___________________________ -sєяєи∂ιpιτy- The boy yelled at the squirrel and a gaggle of bones - it looked like a Halloween decoration - right up until the skeleton - Bonez, the boy called him - mentioned her condition as she wobbled, even though the squirrel had mentioned it before. The boy turned towards her and sent a poorly constructed question.
MaryAnne waved a hand in repsonce and took a moment; she was still slightly dizzy, ears feeling as if they were stuffed with cotton.
The skeleton seemed to be the sensible one. He seemed much calmer than the boy and the squirrel, but MaryAnne could feel that the squirrel (whose name - along with the boy's - had not yet been mentioned) had only acted out in the boy's interest.
There was a strange emotional tie between them - not like the tie between mother and child or the bond between twins this... it was unlike anything she'd encountered before. Also, there was someone... No, something, probably, also connected to the boy and the two characters that lingered in the area, but it hadn't yet made itself known and its emotions were a bit jumbled. It made a strange situation even more confusing - it was as if the emotions ad been created by the boy and channelled out to the three others. Or maybe it was that he'd given them the will to create emotions of their own, and that was their connection, but that would require extreme strength of the Soul that no human she knew of could manage... But then again, she didn't know every human, now did she?
Her mind swam with confusion and theories before figuring that it was probably a round-about thought process anyways.
As she sorted through the information and emotions, MaryAnne rebuilt her mental wall, slowly filtering out all emotions but her own, leaving it so a little more than what would normally be considered "Female Intuition" could be gathered from around her.
"I'm fine, just fine," she sighed, a raised and placed gently against her forehead, "just calm down, would you please? You, all of you, whatever." This was confusing and made her head ache. {Living life alone..... } Leon’s jaw absolutely dropped when he saw her reaction to him, Chip, and Bonez. She wasn’t running away or calling him a freak. What was going on? What was with this girl? Yes, granted she also had wings but the fact that some weird guy, who can’t even speak plan English to a pretty girl, was talking to a bundle of bones and a squirrel. Maybe she's going to wait until I get comfortable before she makes fun of me. Or maybe those nuts just made her lose her senses and she’s gonna run away freaked out when she finally comes to. But what if that’s not the case? What if she really isn’t freaked out by all of this? What if I actually managed to find someone… A friend… A girlfriend? Wait, what I am thinking!? I only just met her! Besides, why would she want to date a freak? Why would she even want to be friends with someone as weird as me? But, once again, what if I really did manage to find someone that I could confide in? We would be really good friends… Maybe even… Date? One day? Augh, but what if she has a boyfriend already!? Then I would have to deal with him and… “Boss, BOSS!”“Huh what?His face turned a deep shade of red when he realized that he had just spaced out in front of her. He then turned to face the girl, his hands started to shake as he looked at her. “Oh… Uh… S-sorry… Um… So… Um… Huh?”After hearing Leon’s mess of a sentence Chip and Bonez both did a face palm. Once again he managed to complete screw up talking to another person, and to the opposite sex no less. “I’m sorry you’re going have to excuse Master, he’s not used to talking to other people.” “Yeah especially pretty girls.”“Thank you Chip. But as I was getting ready to say, Master’s name is Leon, my name is Bonez, and that bag of fur over there is Chip.”“HEY WHO ARE YOU--?!”“And you are? Oh also to translate what the Mater was trying to say, aren’t you the least bit freaked out by all of this?” { Loving life with friends}

{I can take you right now...} ___________________________ -sєяєи∂ιpιτy- She watched as the boy’s eyes glossed over with thought and she arched a curious eyebrow; the squirrel had to yell at him to bring him back. MaryAnne crossed her arms over her chest and pursed her lips as she tried to stifle her laughter in an attempt not to be rude.
Her eyes focused on the skeleton as he spoke and she wondered for a moment how that worked, exactly. He apologized for his “master” and mentioned he wasn’t used to speaking to people before the squirrel chimed in that pretty girls were no exception. That made her smile; she fought not to blush.
The skeleton went on to introduce his master, Leon, himself, Bonez – she would have guessed – and the squirrel, Chip, who then nearly had a fit. She smiled again as Bonez asked her who she was and explained that when Leon had stammered he’d been trying to ask why she wasn’t freaked out by “this.”
“MaryAnne Lightburn,” she nodded as she spoke, “that’s my name. It’s nice to meet you, Leon, Bonez and Chip.” The blond even made eye contact with each of them as she said their names.
“And no, I’m not really freaked out. This is a special place, isn’t it? For special people? I’m just interested in learning about everyone and meeting other gifted people.” MaryAnne tipped her head slightly and flashed him a dazzling smile._____________{IN my silver ballet slippers}____________________________мαяyαηηε

{Living life alone..... } Leon felt his face grow red hot when he saw the girls, MaryAnne’s, smile. He felt his face grow even hotter when he tired smiling back, of course to anyone that might have been around it would have looked more like a goofy half-cocked smile. He then felt his body tremble as he tired to talk. “S-special people…?” He did it! He actually managed to talk to her and actually use words! “W-what do you mean this is a…special place?” Hearing Leon’s words both Chip and Bonez looked at him as if there was some eight legged creature with about ten eyes sitting on top of his head nibbling on his hair. Even Utashi, who had been hiding out in his backpack, peeked over his shoulder to see it were true or not, and true it was. Shortly after the shock of hearing Leon talk to another person, Bonez shook his head and looked at MaryAnne. “Actually that is a good question. What did you mean by this place is special, and about the special people? Which actually brings to another question, how do you have wings? Master is the only human before now that I’ve ever seen with wings.”Hearing Bonez words Leon turned and looked at him with an angry scowl. All the while, Chip was staring into the sky muttering how the Boss actually talked. { Loving life with friends}

{I can take you right now...} ___________________________ -sєяєи∂ιpιτy-He stuttered. She fought the urge to burst out laughing. She discretely noted that he was shaking and turned her head slightly to hide a laugh behind her hand, disguising it as a cough.
Looking back to Leon, she smirked a little as she saw Chip and Bonez stare at him, astounded. When a black, fuzzy entity peeked over Leon's shoulder, the blond nearly screamed and called it a spider, but she caught herself, recognizing it as the third being she'd felt earlier. Bonez then shook his head and looked at her, who was still trying to keep herself from giggling. MaryAnne listened as he spoke and she cleared her throat just slightly.
"Grove Academy, it's for people with gifts, people with mixed blood lines. My Father is an angel, my mother is human, I was born with wings and... A few other gifts, but nothing compaired to what some other students here can do," she said, peering at Leon curiously.
"You said, well, you," she looked at Bonez, "said Leon has wings? Well, I'm sure there are a few things you could be, but... Do you know?"_____________{IN my silver ballet slippers}____________________________мαяyαηηε

{Living life alone..... } As he looked at the girl he noticed her expression quickly change before returning back to normal. Leon tilted his head before he started to feel a little extra weight on his left shoulder. He then looked down and saw Utashi. That's probably why she looked surprised, he thought as he picked Utashi up off his shoulder. “Umm this is uh Utashi by the way.” As he said this he held out his hand so that the little black fuzz ball was in his palm. At the same time he turned his head away in an attempt to hide his embarrassment. But his head quickly turned back when he heard Maryanne say wings. He then glared at Bonez before looking back at her. Fear, hatred, and embarrassment filled his body. Fear that she would make fun of him and that she would tell others about it so they could do the same. He felt hatred because of his wings and the fact that because of them his life was a living nightmare. Then there was the embarrassment that a pretty girl such as her found out in the first place. But what she said next really threw him off. “I’m a human okay?”Tears started to fill his eyes as he said this as past memories began to flood his mind. He turned his head away, the sounds of other children laughing at him now filling his ears. The three beings of his creation then looked at him. They knew. They knew what he was thinking. They knew what he was feeling, because in the end they were a part of him. Bonez then looked at Maryanne and took a second before he jumped onto her shoulder. When he did he began to whisper in her ear. “Listen, Leon is very uncomfortable about his wings, and he has had a very hard life…” Stopping mid-sentence Bonez shook his head and looked at Leon for a brief moment before turning away. { Loving life with friends}
