That picture is me. =]
I've just been letting my hair grow out lately, and I'm getting rather bored with it. Should I dye it? I'm considering darkish brown or white blond.
Also I want to get an edgy haircut, but I still want to keep it long. Any suggestions?

On coloring hair, even though yours is a golden blonde, it'd still take some bleach to get it platinum. And that can be very damaging. Is your hair virgin? Meaning, never been colored before? The less damage done to your hair before undertaking a huge color job, the better it tends to turn out. Its why some stylists will dye their clients hair a color that matches, or comes close to someone's natural color when their hair needs a break- roots aren't noticeable, and it gives hair time to regain health and flounce. Going dark on your hair, would just be straight depositing color, and wouldn't be as rough.

Layers- razored ones at that- are a great way to add edge to ones hair while keeping length and adding volume. But be careful on where you go. I've switched stylists- once I've found ones that work for ME- maybe three or four times in my 12 years of my mama working in a salon.)

Thanks for the advice, you really seem to know what you're doing.
The last time I dyed my hair was in march, bleaching it from black to the color it is now. I've waited awhile, but I don't want to do unnecessary damage. So maybe I'll just go darker.

I'd say dye it a similar color that it is now to hide roots, and bleach a few tiny tiny strands of hair to put in more color.
And maybe you could dye the under half of your hair a dark brown if you want.
But I agree with layers, just make sure they're not too short.
Cause then you'll have millions of fly-aways. XP
