Hi I'm partnering with a friend to do my first table and as a customer I think display has a massive effect on whether or not I'd like to browse/purchase from a table. I've seen pictures of tables using like PVC pipes/etc put up over their tables and artist who actually have banners/signs/display art hanging from them. Has anyone here ever done a display similar to this? If so I'd love some tips on how to put one together, and even if you haven't done a display like this any tips would really be appreciated!
:3 Also feel free to post things you don't think worked out so well XD;

Just a reference picture if people didn't understand what I meant by using the pipes :3

Well I don't sell prints, but for my various accesories and things I made two cardboard things that are bent so they stand on their own, and one has cork for buttons, some have hooks to hang things...etc etc. I also spray painted them shiny silver XD
And for some plushies I used 2 of those wire locker racks stacked on top of each other, other necklaces, hats and thigns I had laid about on the free space in front of all this.

From what I have seen in the artist alley, custom or unique table cloths are attractive also if you go to more than one convention or use the same one all the time people can find you with it XD. I've seen someone who mad a little tree to hang keychains and phone charms on, it was really interesting looking and I saw a lot of people stop buy and look at it. So sometimes if you can think of something cute and unique to display your art it can be beneficial too. Also for us shy people who are bad to talking to strangers, if you have your prices posted clearly and your items visible (not laying on the table) then we can scope the prices vs. the products at all the tables and then figure out what we want to buy with out the awkwardness of having the artist sending "Buy my stuff" looks. I always feel bad about walking away without buying (unless my friend is buying then I feel no guilt cause I'm with her), probably because I didn't the same thing to who ever stopped at my table. The con of this though is that people might avoid your table if the prices are too high, but if you have competitive prices than it might just be the opposite.
But that is my two cents.
